Definitions

  • the invention relates to a corner connector for frames, door or window frames, which are constructed from several profile parts and which in the area of the butt joint on their side wall facing the masonry have protruding guide surfaces in places, which correspond to corresponding guide surfaces of the other profile part, whereby the The position of the two profile parts relative to one another is determined, with at least one projection being provided on each profile part and corresponding projections being moved toward one another by rotating a clamping disk and being held in the end position determined by the guides or profile parts.
  • Such a corner connector is known from DE-A-1 784 549 discussed below.
  • the two frame parts are pushed together at right angles to the miter cut line, with the projecting profile parts adjusting the frame plate in its plane.
  • a kind of wedge is pushed over at least two tabs bent out of the corner connector, which is intended to fix the connection by means of friction.
  • the wedge again consists of a sheet metal plate (wedge plate) with slot-like recesses into which the bent tabs are inserted, whereupon the tab is opened using a hammer or pliers.
  • the type of application of the wedge plate is harmful to the frame itself, since both working with a correspondingly heavy hammer and using a pair of pliers, in which the second jaw must inevitably rest on the visible outside of the frame, easily damage the frame.
  • bent tabs have a height that allows them to protrude beyond the flanged edge of the frame, which may make it necessary to remove the masonry at this point.
  • the wedge plate also has fixation bends which are intended to jam into the tab side edges, this plate also projects at least partially beyond the wall profile. Since the corresponding area is relatively large, especially if more than two brackets are used, it may be necessary to pre-process the wall before installing the frame.
  • the aim of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to create a corner connector in which a permanent clamping is reliably achieved without extreme tolerances having to be observed.
  • only components that are simple and inexpensive to manufacture should be used.
  • a pair of projections are clamped together, in that the projections are undercut on the side facing away from the other frame part and in that the clamping disk has an oval recess, the shortest diameter of which is smaller than the shortest distance between the undercuts of the two projections in the assembled state and the largest diameter of which is larger than the largest distance between the projections in the assembled state.
  • the clamping disc is captive due to the undercuts and secure against loosening due to the frictional conditions; it is only subjected to tension, hardly to bending and not to pressure and therefore need not be massive; it is not in contact with any other component.
  • the protrusions are cheap in the middle of the Arrange profiles; if several pairs are provided, an advantageous distribution of the clamping forces over the length of the butt joint can be achieved.
  • a clamping direction given by the centers of the two projections is achieved, which is essential for a seamless connection.
  • the projections have at least approximately the shape of a circular arc section in sectional planes parallel to the plane of the clamping disk. This makes it easier to put on the clamping disc, increases the contact area and thus reduces the pressure.
  • each projection consists of an arcuate section of the corner plate, which is bent up and whose uppermost part is now bent over 90 °, so that it forms the undercut.
  • the clamping disk advantageously has a polygonal edge which is flanged. This makes it easy to use a key-like tool for rotating the clamping disk.
  • the direction in which the guides lead the two profile parts to be joined to one another when approaching is at an angle with the direction given by the centers of the two projections. This makes it possible for the first time to achieve a defined end position by clamping together with the guide, since the clamping direction and direction of leadership do not coincide.
  • the joining of the profile parts is particularly facilitated by the fact that the guides of the two profile parts to be connected allow a displacement in the longitudinal direction of one of the two profile parts.
  • FIG. 1 shows two corner plates that can be used with one another
  • FIG. 2 shows the corner plates fastened in the frame, with a clamping plate and key inserted
  • FIG. 3 shows a clamping plate
  • FIG. 4 a key for fixing the clamping plate.
  • a corner plate 1 has projections 2 and 3, which cooperate with recesses 4, 5 of the counter-clamping plate 6.
  • the clamping plate 6 also has projections 7, 8 which cooperate with recesses 9, 10 of the first corner plate.
  • protrusions or recesses refers to the dash-dotted line between the two frame parts, which in the present case abut with a 45 ° miter.
  • the corner plate 1 has a projection 11, which is formed by bending part of the corner plate 1.
  • the upper end of the projection 11, designated 12 in the figure, is bent over 90 °, so that it is at a greater distance from the butt joint than the part of the projection 11 which is close to the plate 1.
  • the projections and recesses as well as the mushroom-like protruding edge are drawn with sharp edges, but it must be taken into account that these parts are punched out of sheet metal and then bent, which leads to the fact that there are no sharp edges but round shapes.
  • the projection 11 thus has a mushroom shape.
  • the corner plate 6 has a projection 13 which is also provided with an over-bent edge 12 (flanging).
  • corner plates 1, 6 are fastened in the factory with suitable devices to the side wall of the frame parts facing the wall, preferably by spot welding.
  • Weld bosses 22 are provided for this purpose.
  • Fig. 1 the corner plates 1, 6 are doubled, i.e. shown mirrored on a straight line 23 or 24, which makes it possible to use them equally for left and right sides of the frames.
  • the projection 3 is either to be designed to be breakable or to be provided only on a part of the corner plates, since this projection otherwise projects beyond the frame, which prevents assembly. The missing part is shown in dashed lines at 3 '.
  • Fig. 2 shows the state of assembly, it can be seen that the frame part, which supports the corner plate 6, has been pushed in Fig. 2 from right to left to the frame part with the corner plate 1.
  • the clamping disc 14 By turning the clamping disc 14 by means of a key 17, in the direction of arrow F, the projections 11, 13 are pulled toward one another and the two frame parts are thus firmly connected to one another.
  • the effective friction between the projections 11,013 and the recess 15 of the clamping disk 14 holds the clamping disk 14 in its fixing position. Due to the design of the projections 11, 13, the clamping disc 14 is pressed against the two corner plates 1, 6, which causes an excellent fixation of the clamping disc and thus the frame parts in their plane.
  • the key 17 is preferably cranked, the shape and size of its mouth 18 corresponding to the recess 19 of the clamping disc 14. This is shown in FIG. 2 and on the one hand makes it possible to make the clamping surface large and on the other hand to securely guide the clamping disc 14 even when working overhead.
  • the tensioning direction (the connecting line of the two projections 11, 13) in which the two frame parts 20, 21 move relative to one another when the clamping disk 14 is rotated (from right to left in FIG. 2) is approximately vertical to the dividing line of the two frame parts.
  • the invention can be varied in many ways, so the clamping disk 14 can consist of a simple disk without a flanged edge and it can have a different shape. Depending on the size of the frame, more than just a pair of projections 11, 13 can also be provided, and the projections 11, 13 can have a different shape. It is essential that the projections 11, 13 are pulled together by twisting a clamping disk 14 and that they have an increasing distance from one another with increasing distance from the corner plate.
