Description

Eine solche Rakeleinrichtung ist bekannt aus der US-PS 43 69 731.The invention relates to a doctor device according to the preamble of claim 1. Such a doctor device is known from US-PS 43 69 731.

With these devices, it cannot be prevented that residue particles of the coating slip settle in the gap in which the coating blade is pressed against the stop defining it and age there. They result in the streak blade no longer being properly seated in its clamping. In such cases, the cleaning options for the seat of the coating blade are quite poor. A device has been established in which the doctor blade is clamped by a pneumatic pressure hose. An example of this is the aforementioned US patent. The cleaning options are of course even worse. It is desirable to provide a cleaning option so that the blade seat can be cleaned in a very short time when changing the blade.

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

Fig.1 u.2
Fig. 3

The invention is explained below using two exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing, wherein in
Fig. 1 and 2
in each case a cross section through the doctor device and in
Fig. 3
a partial view and longitudinal section to the latter on a reduced scale

is shown.

In Fig. 1, the doctor device with 1 and the roller C is identified, the direction of movement of the surface of the roller is indicated by the thick arrow. The squeegee device is located on a carrier 8, which has in its upper part a stop 6 for the leaf spring serving here as a doctor blade 2, which is shown here in dash-dotted lines because it should not be present in the cleaning state of the squeegee clamping shown. For operation, the doctor blade is pressed against the stop 6 by means of the slide plate 5. This slide plate 5 is provided in the upper part of a groove 3, which extends parallel to the stop 6 and the doctor blade 2.

The doctor blade is pressed by a pressure bar 12 against the counter roller C by means of a lifting device, of which only the lifting rod 14 and the fastening plate 15 are shown here. An upper guide plate 13 is provided for guiding the pressure bar 12.

In the side wall 19 opposite the stop 6 as the preferred location of the channel 3 there are a plurality of vibration pulse elements 7 in a row parallel to this. The electrical connections for these are located in a channel 11 which also runs parallel to the channel 3. The cables are indicated here at 16. The vibration elements 7 are essentially flush with the side wall 19 of the channel 3 and are covered by a vibration plate (membrane) 9. For example, if there is a distance between the individual vibration elements 11 of approximately 20 cm, a vibration plate 9 can be provided for each vibration element 11. These oscillation pulse exciters can preferably operate on a piezo-electric basis, in which case they are practically designed as small round cylinders which can be inserted and glued into corresponding cylindrical channels 18. In this case, vibration plates 9 may not be necessary at all.

It is also possible to place the vibration exciters, e.g. Ultrasonic transmitter 7, but to be arranged in a bar 20 which is displaceable parallel to the channel 3 and to move this bar back and forth during the cleaning process, so that the entire seating area of the coating blade is sonicated.

For cleaning purposes, the knife gate valve 5 is withdrawn as shown and the channel 3 e.g. filled with water. If the vibration exciters are set into vibrations, preferably at an ultrasonic frequency, the dirt particles which have become lodged in the trough and in particular on the pressing edge of the knife gate valve 5 and the stop 6 are detached. You can flush them away by continuously pouring water into the channel. In order to keep the water in the channel, it is of course closed off at both ends, that is to say in the region of the two ends of the roller C, by closure plates. You can provide these closure plates with connections for the water. At least one of these end plates can also be designed as a flap, which seals by means of a rubber seal on the end channel wall. You can vent this flap a little so that the cleaning water can flow off continuously in accordance with the excess amount added. When the cleaning process is finished, no more water is added, and the closing flap may be opened completely, so that the water contained in the channel, including the impurities contained therein, flows off.

Under certain circumstances, cleaning is also possible during operation, i.e. while coating with an existing doctor blade. This could also be relatively useful, because it may not lead to larger attachments in the seating area of the coating blade.

It is not necessary that the doctor element be a doctor blade, but it can also serve as such a roller doctor guided in a doctor bed, which is held by a blade-like holder. This blade-like holder, e.g. a leaf spring can be fixed in a blade holder as shown.

Es können mehrere solcher Anschlüsse über die Länge der Rakelrinne 3' verteilt angeordnet sein.2 shows an arrangement with an oscillator 21, which is designed as a rod with a circular cross section, which is located along the entire longitudinal extent of the doctor channel 3 '. Its length also corresponds essentially to the length of the doctor blade or a leaf spring holding the doctor blade bed. Otherwise, similar components to those in FIG. 1 are identified in the figure with the same reference numerals but with an apostrophe. Here, the vibrator 21 is supported over its length by bearing blocks 22 made of a plastic, such as polyurethane. These points should preferably be located at the vibration nodes of the vibration of the rod, which is generated by a vibration exciter 27, 28, which is coupled to the end face and is mounted on a bracket 31. Rod 21 and vibration exciter can also perform a transverse movement, i.e. run in the longitudinal direction of the leaf spring or squeegee channel 3 ', so that all points of the squeegee channel are swept by the sound waves. A connection for the liquid, in particular water, is indicated as a pipe connection 25, the central opening of which continues via the space 24 and the channel 23 into the doctor channel 3 '. Several such connections can be arranged distributed over the length of the doctor channel 3 '.

The oscillation frequencies can be between 20 and 80 kHz. A vibration exciter can also be coupled to both ends of the rod-shaped vibrator.

An element 27 with magnetostriction, which is connected to the oscillator 21 via a coupling piece 28 (so-called booster) for adjusting the amplitude, can be used as a vibration exciter. Separation joints (not shown) with flange and connecting screws and / or gluing to both ends of the coupling piece can be provided. A seal bushing for the vibrator is provided in the end wall 26 of the doctor channel 3 ', the seal 30 being pressed on by means of glasses 29. The vibration exciter can also be fixed on the holding flange 32.

Die Schwingungserreger vertreibt die Firma Martin Walter, Ultraschalltechnik GmbH, Erlenweg 14, Postfach 1246, D-7516 Karlsbad-Auerbach.The vibration exciter is sold by Martin Walter, Ultrasoundtechnik GmbH, Erlenweg 14, Postfach 1246, D-7516 Karlsbad-Auerbach.
