Bei der aus der DE-A-2 044 579 bekannten Steckdose ist ein Klappdeckel drehbar auf eine Achse gelagert und von einer Schenkeldrehfeder gegen die Einstecköffnung gedrückt. Die Achse führt beidseitig durch zwei Löcher in zwei Wandteile des Gerätesteckergehäuses. An beiden Seiten der Klappendekkellagerung und an der äußeren Seite der vorstehenden Wandteile des Gerätesteckers befinden sich zwei miteinander korrespondierende, segmentartige Ansätze mit einem Radius, dessen Mittelpunkt mit der Achse zusammenfällt. Die Radien laufen auf einander gegenüberliegenden Seiten in geringfügig abgerundeten Kanten aus. Wird der Klapphebel entgegen der Kraft der Schenkeldrehfeder bewegt, so schleifen die beiden radienförmigen Ansätze gegeneinander, bis beide Kanten sich gegenüberstehen. Die Schenkeldrehfeder soll auch eine Kraft senkrecht auf die Achse ausüben, so daß die beiden Kanten miteinander verrasten, so wie es das Spiel der Achse in den dieser gegenüber erweiterten Löchern der beiden Wandteile des Gerätessteckergehäuses zuläßt. Beim Einführen eines Steckerteils in das Dosengehäuse wird durch Wegdrücken der Abbiegung die Blattfeder von der Rastfläche abgehoben, wodurch der Abschlußdeckel freigegeben und durch die Kraft einer Torsionsfeder zur Anlage an das Steckerteil kommt. Bei einer anderen Ausführung sitzt am Deckelschanier eine Nase, die beim Zurückklappen des Deckels vom Federende umfaßt wird, um den Deckel in Offenstellung zu halten. Due to the spring force of the spring 19, the closure cover 17 is moved in the closing direction until it rests with one edge of the support surface 31 on the connector housing 3 of the connector 1, as shown in FIG. 2.

In Fig. 3 ist deutlich zu erkennen, daß der Auslösehebel 25 aus einem Betätigungsarm 28 und einem Entriegelungsarm 27 besteht und während des Niederdrückens des Betätigungsarms 28 in die Aussparung 29 eine Drehbewegung um seine Drehachse 26 ausführt, wobei der Entriegelungsarm 27 nach oben bewegt wird, und dabei den Federbügel 20 mit der Rastnase 21 aus seiner Rastverbindung mit der Gegenrastnase 22 aushebt. Die Auflaufschräge 35 am Ende des Federbügels 20 dient während der Öffnungsbewegung des Verschlußdeckels 17 dem Niederdrücken des Entriegelungsarms 27, welcher aus dem gleichen Grund mit einer zungenförmigen Verjüngung 36 versehen ist. Claims (11)

  1. A socket for an electrical plug, more particularly for use in road vehicles such as motorcycles, for the connection of handlamps, identification lights, general lighting, heated helmets or other electrical devices, having a socket housing (10), a cover (17) which is hinged to the socket housing (10) and is urged towards its closed setting by means of a spring (19), and a locking device which holds the cover (17) in the open setting and can be disengaged by an actuator (25) extending into the path of the plug (1), characterized in that the actuator (25) is adapted as a release lever (25) swivellably journalled in the housing (10) or a component attached thereto, the release lever (25) having an actuating arm (28) extending into the path of the plug (1) and an unlocking arm (27) interacting with the cover (17) to release the locking device, the locking device having a spring strap (20) which swivels with the cover (17) and carries a nose-type catch (21) interacting with a fixed counter-nose (22) on the socket, and the free end of the spring strap (20) in the locked setting of the cover (17) overlaps the free end of the unlocking arm (27) of the release lever (25) in such a manner that when the plug (1) is inserted into the socket housing (10) the release lever (25) swivels round and the spring strap (38) is lifted out of locking setting.
  2. A socket as in Claim 1, characterized in that the spring strap (20) is adapted as an extension of the cover (17), preferably integral therewith.
  3. A socket as in Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the spring strap (20) has a resilient catch segment (38), concavely curved as seen from the hinge pin (18) of the cover (17).
  4. A socket as in any of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that in their overlapping regions, the free ends of the spring strap (20) and the unlocking arm (27) respectively each have an approach slope (35) and a tongue-shaped depression (36).
  5. A socket as in any of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the stopping face (37) of the catch (21) runs at an angle to the radial plane of the hinge pin (18) of the cover (17).
  6. A socket as in any of Claims 1 to 5, characterized in that relative to the socket housing axis the actuating arm (28) of the release lever (25) is journalled in the socket housing (10) with freedom to move substantially axially or substantially radially.
  7. A socket as in any of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the actuating arm (28) of the release lever (25) is accommodated in a recess (29) in the socket housing (10), more particularly the socket jacket.
  8. A socket as in any of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that when the opened cover (17) is in the locking setting, the actuating arm (28) of the release lever protrudes either axially or radially beyond a front face (32) facing the plug (1) or a peripheral face (33) of the recess (29) facing the socket housing axis (A).
  9. A socket as in Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the recess (29) extends from the frontal edge (11) of the socket housing (10)facing the cover (17).
  10. A socket as in Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the recess (29) extends radially outwards and more particularly into the socket jacket, from the peripheral face (33) of the housing bore (24), at some distance from the edge (11) of the socket housing (10).
  11. A socket as in any of Claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the release lever (25) is journalled on a cover holder (16) which can be mounted on the socket housing (10).
