Abstract

A wall cabinet has a profile made of metal, in particular light metal, which profile has a rectangular, closed main part (29). A fluted web (33) projects from the centre of one narrow side (31) of the main part (29). Projecting from the edges of said narrow side (31) and extending parallel to the fluted web (33) are edge webs (32) which are shorter than the fluted web. A box part (36), which is smaller than the main part (29), adjoins the main part (29) on the narrow side (35) facing away from the fluted web. This profile is used as edging for chipboards, from which the construction shelves of the wall cabinet and its side walls are constructed. The profile is to be attached to the associated side edge of the relevant chipboard by knocking the fluted web into the end face of the chipboard.
