Definitions
- the invention relates to a holder for a pivotable suspension of a camming hammer on an excavator boom or the like that can be folded about a horizontal axis, in which the cutting hammer is pivotally suspended transversely to the articulating plane about an axis lying in the articulated plane of the excavator boom.
- the invention has for its object to provide a bracket of the type mentioned so that it is fully suitable for practical use. According to the invention this object is achieved in that the cutter hammer can be fixed in the desired pendulum pivot position with respect to the excavator boom by a positive coupling. As a result, the enormous shrinking forces are absorbed by a form-fitting coupling, whereby the coupling's knockout is kept as low as possible due to the form-fitting connection. Such designs according to the invention can thus also be used for the suspension of heavy hammering hammers.
- the form-fitting coupling can be formed by a bolt and aligned bores that receive it.
- the bolt can be displaceable in the axial direction by means of a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit, which enables the clutch device to be automatically disengaged or engaged.
- guide bores can be arranged in eyelets on the part carrying the piston-cylinder unit and the locking bores can be arranged in a swivel tab on the other part in order to receive the bolt. This ensures that the hammer is securely fixed in relation to the excavator boom.
- the locking holes can be arranged in the swivel bracket along a circular arc, the center of which lies on the axis of the swivel axis. Finally, the swivel bracket can reach between the eyelets, the free spacing of the eyelets corresponding approximately to the thickness of the swivel bracket. This ensures that the bolt is only slightly stressed on bending and mainly on shear.
- FIG. 1 shows schematically a trench excavation with a conventionally suspended cutting hammer.
- Fig. 2 illustrates schematically the trench excavation with a cutting hammer suspended according to the invention.
- Fig. 3 is a detailed view of the swivel device.
- FIG. 4 shows a side view, seen in the direction of arrow P of FIG. 3.
- the cutter hammer 2 is articulated in a conventional manner, so that when the excavator arm 1 is bent, only the change in the pivoting position of the hammer in the direction of the bending movement can be achieved, but not transversely to Kink level.
- the cross section of the truss is trapezoidal, which results in an increased amount of material to be removed. Furthermore, a larger amount of replacement material must then be returned when the bezel is filled up.
- the cutting hammer 2 is connected to the excavator boom 1 via a swivel device 3, the swivel device 3 being provided on a quick-change device 4 in the present exemplary embodiment.
- the swivel device 3 has a swivel axis 5 extending in the direction of the articulation plane of the excavator boom 1, about which the cutter hammer 2 can be swiveled with respect to the articulation plane of the excavator boom 1.
- a form-fitting coupling device is provided, which consists of a bolt 6 running parallel to the pivot axis 5, two eyelets 7 and ⁇ and a pivot bracket 9. In the eyelets 7 and ⁇ are aligned guide holes, and 9 locking holes 10 are provided in the swivel tab.
- the bolt 6 is displaceable in the axial direction by means of a hydraulic piston-cylinder unit 11.
- the locking holes 10 are arranged along an arc, the center of which lies in the longitudinal axis of the pivot axis 5.
- the middle locking hole is arranged so that the cutting hammer 2 is perpendicular to the chord 1 l device 4.
- the remaining locking holes are offset by about 20 from the vertical. This angle corresponds approximately to the angle of inclination of the hammer, which is required in order to be able to scrape the side walls of the bezel 12 approximately vertically.
- the peening hammer 2 is placed with the tip on the floor, the bolt 6 by means of the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit 11 from the guide bore in the eyelet 8 and from the locking bore 10 of the swivel bracket 9 pulled out. Then, by turning the boom 1, the cutter hammer 2 is pivoted with respect to the excavator boom 1 about the pivot axis 5, namely until the desired locking bore 10 is aligned with the guide bores in the eyelets 7 and 8. Then the pin 6 is inserted via the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit and held in the inserted position by the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit.
- the hydraulic piston-cylinder unit 11 can be actuated in the usual manner from the driver's cab of the excavator. For the swiveling of the hammer 2 with respect to the excavator boom 1, there is therefore no need for additional operating personnel, but the swiveling operator can carry out the swiveling from the driver's cab alone.
