Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an engine which uses an operating fluid to produce, through the action of pistons belonging to corresponding cylinders formed in one or more rotors integral with the same shaft, the rotational movement of the shaft itself .
Fluid motors and pumps are known, comprising a rotor eccentrically housed in a fixed capsule and provided with oscillating radial vanes which are intended to delimit, with the internal wall of the capsule, chambers of variable volume in which fluid expansion takes place.
In particular, capsulism rotary motors are known, operating especially with compressed air, but the use of these motors is limited to non-high powers and / or for couples of high moment, but of short duration; the limitations are due, in addition, to the low efficiency linked to mechanical, heat and fluid losses.
Also known are compressed air star motors with radial cylinders, the pistons of which are connected to the crankshaft, separately or in pairs; but these engines are heavy and have a considerable bulk.
In particular, document GB-A-20609 describes an internal combustion engine in which a drum with a ring of cylinders is mounted idly on the elbow of a crank shaft which is fixed, so as to rotate eccentrically with respect to the axis of said shaft, and in which a flywheel, on which are articulated the feet of the connecting rods which exit from the cylinders of the aforementioned drum, turns mad on the same fixed shaft under the action of the drive transmitted by the drum by means of several seals kneeling with hinge; said fixed shaft and the elbow are hollow, to allow, at one end, the fuel supply and, at the other end, the exhaust of burnt gases, through corresponding orifices of intake and exhaust provided in the cylinders.
But this type of engine requires the use of the movement of the steering wheel by means of a belt; it uses means for connecting the drum to the steering wheel which form an open kinematic chain which does not allow the reversal of the movement by inverting the flow of the operating fluid, and it furthermore imposes on the steering wheel an instantaneous angular speed which is not constant so that the engine is not properly balanced; moreover, it requires the longitudinal perforation of the fixed support shaft.
Also known, from document BE 371.137, is a rotary reaction machine which comprises two eccentric rings, interacting by means of a set of cylinders and pistons, one of which, the internal one (3), supports the cylinders ( 5) and the operator fluid distribution chamber, while the other, the external one, supports the piston rods.
However, this known rotary machine provides that the supply to the distribution chamber is effected by means of an orifice provided inside the internal ring (3), which leads to more construction complexity; requires compliance with very strict orifice calibration tolerance, to maintain the dynamic imbalance of said crown within acceptable limits; and reduces the response capacity of the internal crown (3) to the characteristics of bending and torsional stress.
The present invention aims to eliminate the aforementioned drawbacks.
This result was achieved in accordance with the invention by proposing a fluid motor with rotational movement comprising at least one main rotor with at least one ring of cylinders with the corresponding pistons and connecting rods which project from the periphery of the rotor, an auxiliary rotor, rolling around an axis eccentric relative to the main rotor and on which the feet of said connecting rods, means for distributing the fluid to the cylinders of the main rotor, are articulated, in which the main rotator is integral with a rolling shaft, motor and in which the means for connecting the rotors are identical and similarly oriented binoculars, with two pivots, one associated with the main rotor and the other with the auxiliary rotor and which have a center distance, equal to the eccentricity of the auxiliary rotor relative to the main rotor and so as to roll in concordance with the same instantaneous angular speed and with the same torque with respect to the main rotor.
Advantageously, in accordance with the invention, it is planned to vary the stroke of the pistons at will by making it independent of the eccentricity of the auxiliary rotor, by connecting the connecting rod feet to the articulation which connects the two rotors, by means of 'an intermediate crank.
The advantages obtained by virtue of the invention essentially consist in the fact that an engine according to the invention supplied by compressed air has a more constant torque value compared to known engines; that he presents a lower specific consumption compared to known engines with capsulisms and radial cylinders; that it has a reduced size and weight and is lower than that of the motors known to date; that it is by itself very well balanced and therefore requires no counterweight; that it is simple in construction and very reliable.
