Abstract

An replaceable wear element for the rotor (2) of an impact mill has an approximately L-shape. Its longer leg consists of an essentially plate-shaped carrier body (12) and its shorter leg of a carbide metal strip (13) which has a wear surface (21) which springs back in the expulsion direction and is constructed as a five-edged prism. A first and a second section (25, 26) of the wear surface (20) abut at a tear-off edge (24) at an internal angle of approximately 125 DEG . <IMAGE>
