Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a machine for preparing and / or maintaining surfaces, and more particularly floors.
Already known, in particular from patents GB-A-1 083 775 and US-A-3 464 075, such a machine, comprising a motor capable of driving in rotation at least one rotary tool by means of a shaft at least substantially orthogonal to said tool, said tool being connected to said drive shaft by a drive disc connected, near its external periphery, to the tool and, near its center, to the shaft drive, and allowing a relative inclination of limited amplitude of the axis of rotation of the tool relative to said drive shaft. However, in these known machines, said disc is made of an elastic material (metal or rubber), so that the degree of freedom of the tool parallel to the axis of the tool is limited by the elasticity of the disc and that this results in defects in the coplanarity of the tool with respect to the ground. As a result, the treated surface is irregularly attacked by said tool, so that it cannot be perfectly uniform.
The present invention aims to improve a machine of the type defined above.
To this end, the machine for preparing and / or maintaining floors, of the type indicated above, is remarkable, according to the invention, in that said drive disc is made of a material which is flexible perpendicularly to its plane, but which is rigid in its plane and in that said drive disc is mounted, between said tool and said drive shaft, so as to form at least one ripple radially around said axis of the tool when the machine rests on said tool and the axis of said tool is coaxial with that of said drive shaft.
Since the material of said drive disc is rigid in its plane, the disc can transmit the torque from the drive shaft to said tool, so that the latter is rotated. Furthermore, since the material of the drive disc is flexible perpendicular to its plane, the undulation or undulations constitute an excess of material parallel to the axis of the tool.
Thus, such a connecting member allows, in particular at startup, a "decoupling" of the tool from the rest of the machine, facilitating the start-up of the tool, and the maintenance of the latter in a manner perfectly parallel to the ground at treat, during treatment. In addition, as will be seen below, the connecting member, as defined above, allows a distribution of forces or forces on the tool, which allows lateral movement of the machine.
Advantageously, said drive disc consists of a canvas of rigid synthetic material in rotational shear. Such a fabric can for example be of the type used for the production of conveyor belts. It can be made of crossover fabrics made of polyester fibers coated with polyvinyl chloride.
In the case where said disc is integral, near its center, with a collar integral with said drive axis, it is advantageous that, by relative inclination of the axis of said drive shaft relative to the axis of rotation of said tool, the outer periphery of said collar can locally press said tool against the ground. Thus, below this local pressure, the friction of the tool on the ground is higher than elsewhere, so that, due to the rotation of the tool, this results in a spontaneous movement of the machine. compared to the treated soil. By choosing the location of this local pressure, the direction of the spontaneous movement is determined.
To facilitate such an inclination likely to generate such spontaneous displacement, it is preferable that the machine drive shaft is mounted on a universal joint and that a linkage acting on the universal joint is provided for control the relative inclination between the drive shaft and the axis of rotation of the tool.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the machine comprises specific means for exerting local pressure on said tool in the direction of the ground.
Preferably, said specific pressure means comprise a disc-shaped part having a rim at its external periphery, facing towards said drive disc and capable of being applied locally to the latter by a portion of its perimeter. Said specific pressure means may, as a variant, comprise a disc-shaped part, the face of which facing the disc has, in cross section, a convex profile. This convex profile makes it possible to radially vary the point of application of said pressure means on the drive disc, so as to increase or decrease the speed of lateral movement of the machine.
In addition, at its center, said pressure disc may have a hollow shaft through which the drive shaft passes.
Furthermore, said hollow shaft can be mounted, by means of a bearing, in a ring integral with a control linkage.
Advantageously, said linkage comprises a first connecting rod extending along a handlebar, articulated to a second connecting rod in the general shape of a fork.
Preferably, said second connecting rod has two branches, the respective free ends of which are articulated on either side of the pressure means.
En plus, l'invention concerne un disque d'entraînement selon la revendication 12.In addition, the invention relates to a drive disc according to

As shown in FIG. 1, the
Thus, such a
As shown in Figure 2, the
The embodiment of the machine of the invention, illustrated by FIGS. 6 to 7, generally comprises the same elements, or similar elements, as the machine in FIGS. 1 and 2, in particular the
Une couronne souple 16 garantit l'étanchéité entre l'arbre d'entraînement 7 et l'outil 5.Furthermore, in this case, the
In the embodiment of Figures 8 to 11, the
More precisely, the shaft of the
Also in this case, the
The
The
Cette variation du point d'application s'obtient en faisant pivoter le mancheron 4 autour de l'articulation 51, comme l'illustre la double flèche 52.The variant embodiment of the machine in FIGS. 12 and 13 generally comprises the same elements constitutive as the machine shown in Figures 8 to 11. However, the specific means 24 for exerting local pressure on the
As in the embodiment of FIGS. 8 to 11, the
By comparing FIGS. 1, 2 and 5 to 8, on the one hand, and FIGS. 11 to 13, on the other hand, it can be noted that, depending on whether the
