Abstract
Description
- The present invention relates to a section member system for making window and door frames in general.
- As is known, for making window and door frames in general, such as frames for doors, door-windows, windows, inner wings, blinds, it is at present necessary to use a lot of different section members in order to fit all of the requirements of the users.
- Another drawback is that, in order to obtain the desired mechanical resistance of the window or door frames, it is necessary to use section members having comparatively large cross-sections, which require a lot of expensive constructional material.
- Another drawback is that the assembling procedure of the several section members is very difficult and frequently requires that highly skilled operators be used.
- Accordingly, the aim of the present invention is to overcome the above mentioned drawbacks by providing a section member system, for making window and door frames in general, which affords the possibility of making window and door frames with good technical and aesthetic characteristics, while using comparatively reduced size and economic section members.
- Within the scope of the above mentioned aim, a main object of the present invention is to provide such a section member system which affords the possibility of fully eliminating the relief abutment arrangements so as to provide actually flat window and door frame surfaces.
- Another object of the present invention is that of providing such a section member system or assembly which affords the possibility of easily making single-block window and door frames and in which the single section members are already provided with guides for roller blinds as well as for the box element covering the roller blind cylinder.
- Yet another object of the present invention is to provide such a section member system the section members of which can be easily made starting from easily available elements and materials and which, moreover, is very competitive from a mere economic standpoint.
- According to one aspect of the present invention, the above mentioned aim and objects, as well as yet other objects, which will become more apparent hereinafter, are achieved by a section member system for making window and door frames in general, characterized in that said section member system comprises: flat section-members adapted to eliminate any relief abutment arrangements; wing opening section members, to be used for the window or door fixed frame and movable frame; section members for coplanar window and door frames, having inner and outer flat surfaces; open section members for window and door fixed frames, and tubular section members for window and door fixed frames; single-block section members with guides for roller blinds; inner door section members; and blind section members.

section member 160, in thechannel 164 of which there is telescopically fitted acoupling counter-profile 210. - In the two embodiments shown in figures 37 and 38, there is clearly illustrated the application of a glass plate, through the reducing
member 140 or by means of panels. - Figures 40, 41 and 42 show the construction, by means of the section members of the above disclosed section member series, of a wing, in which the upright and cross-section member, indicated at 130, are coupled to the reducing
section member 140, so as to allow forstrips 110 to be coupled, said strips being advantageously arranged in two assemblies, separated by aband section member 150. - From the above disclosure it should be apparent that the invention fully achieves the intended objects.
- In particular, the fact is to be pointed out that there has been disclosed a section member assembly, which has a construction very simple and flexible, in which the component section members can be safely and quickly assembled thereby meeting all of the construction requirements.
- While the invention has been disclosed and illustrated with reference to a preferred embodiment thereof, it should be apparent that the disclosed embodiment is susceptible to several modifications and variations, all of which will become within the scope and spirit of the appended claims.
