Claims (8)

1. Machine for the manufacture of cigars consisting of a device for making up cigar stocks (1) and cutting them to length, a finishing device for the axial boring and compression of the ends of the cigar stocks, and between the two devices an intermediate device (3) for transferring the cigar stocks to one or other of the aforesaid devices, characterized by the fact that the intermediate device (3) consists primarily of a feed guide (2) for guiding one after the other the cigar stocks which have been cut to length and transported by the making up device, a flat endless transport belt (5), placed in the line of and at the end of the feed guide (2), and which serves to space out the transported cigar stocks, a driving mechanism (6 to 13) for actuating the endless transport belt (5), a stop element (15) placed above and at the end of the transport belt part (5) on which the cigar stocks are carried and which is intended to hold back the supplied cigar stocks, a rotating drum (18) placed crosswise above the transport belt (5) and provided with driving elements (25) to take the stopped cigar stocks from the transport belt (5) and transfer these cigar stocks to a rotating drum (27) of the finishing device referred to above and at least one clearance guide (28) placed crosswise between the transport belt (5) and the aforesaid finishing device for guiding the cigar stocks towards the rotating drum (27) of the finishing device.
2. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the drive mechanism for driving the transport belt (5), comprises an electric motor, a speed controller (12) and a belt transmission (6-7-8-9-19-13).
3. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that a transmission (21-22-23) is provided between the motor shaft (17) of the rotating drum (18) with drive elements (25) and the drive mechanism for driving the transport belt (5).
4. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that a synchronous transmission device is provided between the drive mechanism of the rotating drum (18) with drive elements (25) and drum (27) driven rotationally of the finishing device.
5. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the feed guide (2) has a guide surface consisting of a longitudinal (4) vee-shaped groove.
6. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the stop element setting (15) can be adjusted with respect to the transport belt (5).
7. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the drive elements (25) of the rotating drum (18) are placed at an equal distance on the circumference of the drum and provided with a concave pick-up surface (26).
8. Machine according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the clearance guide (28) placed crosswise between the transport belt (5) and the finishing device, has a concave guiding surface (29).
