Definitions
- the invention relates to an unstable packaging made of plastic, aluminum or aluminum-plastic laminate for preserves of soft and / or liquid nature, consisting of a semi-rigid bowl-shaped container and a lid which has a tear-open tab which projects beyond the container edge and is sealed with the container edge by a sealing seam.
- Such packaging has long been used for the packaging of ready meals, in particular heat sterilized ready meals in canned form.
- the containers are either single-shell or multi-compartment, a multi-compartment insert, in particular made of plastic, also being known for a single-shell container.
- the packaging In order to consume the food, the packaging is usually warmed up in the unopened state, with the latter losing much of its stability, in particular due to the decreasing rigidity of the plastic.
- the tear-off tab In order to open such a package by tearing off the lid using the tear-off tab, however, it is necessary to hold the container firmly. When hot, this is hardly possible by hand without the usual thermal insulation measures - towels, potholders, etc. - in the kitchen area and, moreover, the pressure exerted on the container by hand often leads to container deformation, which, due to the reduction in the volume of the container, results in this allows food to flow out or splash out due to the sudden pressure.
- the object is achieved by an unstable packaging, which is distinguished by the wording of claim 1.
- Advantageous further developments of the packaging according to the invention are characterized by the features of claims 2 and 3.
- the unstable packaging consists of a semi-rigid bowl-shaped container 10 with container edge 11 and a cover 30 sealed to the container edge 11 by a sealing seam 12, which has a tear-open tab 310 projecting beyond the container edge 11.
- the tear-open tab 310 is provided with a cut 32 at a distance from the outer edge 31 over most of the edge area.
- the cut 32 forms an inner tongue 311 and an eyelet-shaped tab 312.
- the cover 30 has a circumferential line of weakness 33 in the area of the sealing seam 12 and at a distance from the outer edge 31.
- the line of weakness 33 is advantageously located in the area of the sealing seam 12 near the lid edge, so that the portion of the sealing seam 12 which is directed toward the filling material of the packaging is wider than the portion of the sealing seam 12 which is directed toward the edge area. This measure affects the quality of the seal through the line of weakness 33 only insignificantly and thus guarantees the durability of the packaging as a preserve.
- Figure 4 is a plan view of a package with two sealing seams 12, 12 'and intermediate line of weakness 33 is shown.
- the line of weakness 33 runs just over half the circumference of the cover 30.
- the line of weakness 33 is designed as a cutting line.
- the cut can either be made after sealing or the cover 30 can be cut before sealing so that the sealing medium, e.g. a hot melt, or in the case of a cover 30 made of aluminum-plastic laminate, the plastic layer adjacent to the sealing seam 12 is not damaged by the cut and the cover 30 as such remains in one piece.
- the inner tongue 311 is held with one hand and the eyelet-shaped tab 312 with the other hand.
- the cover 30 is torn open along the line of weakness 33 so that the part of the cover 30 with the eyelet-shaped tab 312 remains on the container edge 11 and the part of the cover 30 with the tongue 311 is detached therefrom becomes.
- the lid 30 divides at the two ends of the line of weakness 33 between the sealing seams 12, 12 'by the pulling stress, so that, as described above, the tab 312 remains on the container edge 11 while the tongue 311 completely releases.

Description
The invention relates to an unstable packaging made of plastic, aluminum or aluminum-plastic laminate for preserves of soft and / or liquid nature, consisting of a semi-rigid bowl-shaped container and a lid which has a tear-open tab which projects beyond the container edge and is sealed with the container edge by a sealing seam.
Such packaging has long been used for the packaging of ready meals, in particular heat sterilized ready meals in canned form. The containers are either single-shell or multi-compartment, a multi-compartment insert, in particular made of plastic, also being known for a single-shell container. In order to consume the food, the packaging is usually warmed up in the unopened state, with the latter losing much of its stability, in particular due to the decreasing rigidity of the plastic. In order to open such a package by tearing off the lid using the tear-off tab, however, it is necessary to hold the container firmly.
In order to remedy the problems described, it has already been proposed in DE-A-18 10 958 to cover and unstable packaging of the type mentioned at the beginning To provide the container edge in the same edge section with tear-open tabs which are arranged substantially congruently one above the other and can be removed from one another outside the sealed container edge.
However, this arrangement has the disadvantage that in the manufacture of the container, which is carried out, for example, by deep-drawing, the tear-open tab for the container is either already allocated to the aluminum or aluminum-plastic laminate film, which is deformed into a container by the deep-drawing process, provided or after manufacture of the container by sealing, gluing or welding must be attached to this. Both options are associated with considerable additional costs compared to containers without a pull tab.
In view of these circumstances, the inventor has set himself the task of creating an unstable packaging of the type mentioned at the outset which overcomes the problems mentioned and does not have the disadvantages of the container with a pull tab.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by an unstable packaging, which is distinguished by the wording of claim 1. Advantageous further developments of the packaging according to the invention are characterized by the features of claims 2 and 3.

The unstable packaging consists of a semi-rigid bowl-
Die Schwächelinie 33 läuft knapp über den halben Umfang des Deckels 30.In Figure 4 is a plan view of a package with two
In a preferred embodiment, the line of
To open the packaging, the
In the case of the formation of the packaging according to Figure 4, the
