Abstract
Es wird ein Verfahren zum Erzeugen einer Informa tion beschrieben, das die Art eines in einem Drucker vorhan denen Druckkopfes (18) angibt, der mindestens ein Druckele ment (86, 88, 90) enthält. Das Stellglied des Druckelements (86, 88, 90) hat einen elektrischen Widerstand, der über ei ne Auswertungsschaltung festgestellt wird. Das Typsignal (40a, 40b, 40c) wird einer nachgeordneten Steuerung zur Ver fügung gestellt, die verschiedene Arten von Druckköpfen (17, 18) mit den jeweils passenden Steuersignalen versorgen kann. Die Erfindung kann auf praktisch alle Arten von Druckköpfen angewandt werden, deren Druckelemente über elektrische oder elektromechanische Stellglieder betätigt werden und demzu folge einen elektrischen Widerstand haben.
