Claims (6)
- Method of pounding and compacting any raw mineral material such for example as cement clinker and of the type consisting in preconditioning this material before pounding it through crushing in a roller press, characterized in that one causes a mixture of the said raw mineral material (5) with a recycled agglomerated or compacted product (6) and with a recycled granular or powdery product (7) to pass into the said press (1) with rollers (2), one fractionates the product issuing from the roller press into an agglomerated or compacted product (14), into a granular or powdery product (11) and into a fine product (10) which is discharged and one recycles to the said roller press at least one part of the agglomerated or compacted product (14,16,6) and at least one,part of the granular or powdery product (11) to constitute a preconditioned mixture conveyed to the said roller press and one control the density in bulk of the products feeding the press by modulating the proportion of recycled agglomerated product (6) and the proportion of recycled granular product (7) in order that the said density in bulk of the products feeding the roller press be kept at a value comprised between 0.68 Dp and 0.85 Dp, Dp being the density of the agglomerated or compacted product issuing from the press in order to ensure a stable operation of the latter and therefore to stabilize the instantaneous consumption of energy necessary to the crushing.
- Method according to claim 1, characterized in that for the crushing of cement, the density in bulk at the feed of the press is adjusted between 1.7 and 2.05.
- Pounding and compacting equipment for carrying out the method according to claim 1 or 2 and of the type comprising a press (1) with rollers (2) permitting the crushing and the partial agglomeration of any mineral material, means for passing the said mineral material into the said press and downstream of this press a conveyor means (16) associated with a first distributing system (13), and permitting the recycling of one portion (14) of the crushed and partially agglomerated material towards the feed (3) of the press (1), characterized in that it comprises a second distributing system (17) fed with the other portion (15) of the material issuing from the first distributing system (13), the said second distributing system (17) having a first outlet (18) and a second outlet (19), the first outlet (18) communicating with the said conveyor means (16) to thus adjust the amount and the density of the crushed and partially agglomerated material recycled towards the feed (3) of the roller press and the second outlet (19) communicating with a separator (8) to separate fine product (10) from a granular or powdery product (11) travelling through a pipeline (7) towards the feed (3) of the roller press and in that it moreover comprises an apparatus (4) for the measurement of the density of the material feeding the press (1), located at the inlet (3) of the said press.
- Equipment according to claim 3, characterized in that one of the aforesaid two distributing system (13,17) is a riddle screen or a sieve.
- Equipment according to claim 3 or 4, characterized in that it is fitted moreover with a third distributor (21) for the granular or powdery product a first outlet of which is connected by the pipeline (7) to the inlet (3) of the roller press (1) and a second outlet (22) of which is connected to the second outlet (19) of the aforesaid second distributor system (17).
- Equipment according to claim 5, characterized in that it further comprises means allowing the apparatus (4) for the measurement of the density of the material feeding the press to act automatically upon the first distributor system (13) and the third distributor system (21) so as to permit the control of the density of the products feeding the said press.
