Description

The present invention relates to a closure arrangement for pharmaceutical bottles with a stopper which can be pierced to remove medication from the bottle by means of a hollow needle and which closes the bottle mouth and with a rolled rim ring formed on the bottle around the bottle mouth and the stopper, over the stopper one by one Line of weakness limited closure cap having a tear-off disc that can be removed when the closure is opened.

From DE-PS 1.207.043 a closure arrangement of the type mentioned is known. This closure arrangement consists of the combination of a cap which is attached to the bottle and a rubber stopper which seals the pharmaceutical bottle. The cap has an upper-side component with an inner and an outer part. The inner and outer parts are connected to each other by breakable bridge parts. The inner part is connected to a lid part which can be pressed away from the bottle by means of thumb pressure in order to break the bridge parts and to detach and remove the inner part of the cap from the outer part. The rubber stopper for inserting a hollow needle is then released under the inner part of the cap. A disadvantage of this closure arrangement is that the lid part has to be removed from the bottle with the thumb, with the fingernail growth site being uncomfortably stressed. There is also a risk of injury at the metal break points of the bridge parts. Another disadvantage of an economic nature is that too many parts have to be used for the closure arrangement, namely a part that can be flanged onto the bottle, a lid part connected to it and a rubber stopper. For the flanging of the cap onto the bottle and for the connection of the inner part with the lid part, complex special equipment is required. The manufacturing costs of the cap parts made of metal are also relatively high.

The object of the present invention is to provide a closure arrangement of the type mentioned at the outset which is economically advantageous and in which the tear-off disk can be removed safely, conveniently and quickly with one hand.

The object is achieved in that the closure cap is formed in one piece with the tear-off disk made of plastic, that the closure cap is fastened by pressure from the top to the bottom in the axial direction of the bottle when the closure is unopened, so that the pressure on it the sealing cap tears the connection between the sealing cap and the tear-off disc and the tear-off disc can be removed and that there is a spacer between the tear-off disc which is held by the weakening line when the closure is unopened and the stopper underneath, which does not exceed the outline of the tear-off disc. This closure arrangement is economically advantageous because the closure cap and the tear-off disk are produced in one process step, economically advantageously from plastic. The cap can be pressed safely and comfortably with one hand in the direction of the bottle when the cap is not opened. The tear-off disk separates from the closure cap and releases the stopper for the removal of medication in the bottle through a hollow needle that can be pierced through the stopper. There is no risk of injury with this cap.

The spacer can advantageously be formed in one piece with the tear-off disk or with the stopper. This measure enables the closure arrangement to consist of only two economically advantageous parts, namely the closure cap and the stopper.

The spacer can be formed in one piece with the tear-off washer and the end of the tear-off washer facing the stopper be in tight contact with the stopper when the closure is not opened. This measure ensures that the surface of the stopper intended for the removal of a medicament lying in the bottle remains protected from contamination before the tear-off disk is removed.

However, the spacer can also be formed in one piece with the stopper, and the end of the stopper facing the tear-off disk, when the closure is unopened, bears tightly against the tear-off disk. With this arrangement, the penetration of contaminants to the surface of the stopper provided for the removal of the medication lying in the bottle by means of a hollow needle is prevented before the tear-off disk is removed.

The closure cap advantageously widens in a funnel shape from the line of weakness in the direction facing away from the bottle. The handling of the sealing cap becomes easier because when pressing the sealing cap the tear-off disc separating from the sealing cap does not prevent pressing. The tear-off disc remains set back in the funnel-shaped part of the sealing cap.

The closure cap may have on the inside of its outer jacket region, which extends over the rolled rim ring, an annular latching bead which engages behind the edge of the rolled rim ring facing away from the bottle mouth when the closure is not opened. The snap bead simply holds the unopened cap on the bottle and enables the cap to be easily attached to the bottle.

The closure cap can also have a second, annular bead on the inside of its outer jacket region, which extends over the rolled rim ring. This second bead holds the pressed-in, opened closure cap in this position.

In order to be able to hold the stopper in the bottle mouth both when the closure is open and when it is open by the parts of the closure cap surrounding the tear-off disc, the spacer can be formed in one piece with the tear-off disc, the end of the tear-off disc facing the stopper being tight on the stopper when the closure is unopened is present and the distance between the latching bead and the second bead corresponds to the smallest distance between the parts of the closure cap surrounding the tear-off disk and the stopper when the closure is unopened.

In order to be able to hold the stopper in the bottle mouth both when the closure is open and when it is open, by means of the parts of the closure cap surrounding the tear-off disc, the spacer can also be formed in one piece with the stopper, the end of the stopper facing the tear-off disc when the closure is unopened Tear-off disc is tight and the distance between the snap-in bead and the second bead corresponds to the smallest distance between the parts of the closure cap surrounding the tear-off disc and the stopper when the closure is unopened.

The distance between the latching bead and the second bead can correspond to the width of the rolled edge ring. At this distance between the two beads, the closure cap sits more securely on the bottle when the closure is not opened.

Die Verschlusskappe 3 und die Abrisscheibe 5 bestehen aus Kunststoff, aus Polypropylen.FIG. 1 shows a closure arrangement for a pharmaceutical bottle 1, which can be an injection bottle or a transfusion bottle, for example. The bottle 1 is closed by a rubber plug 2 inserted into the bottle mouth. The stopper can be pierced by means of a hollow needle and the medication located in the bottle 1 can be removed from the bottle 1 through the hollow needle. The plug 2 is enveloped and protected on the outside by a sealing cap 3. However, the closure cap 3 also surrounds a rolled rim ring 4 formed on the bottle 1 around the bottle mouth. Above the stopper 2 there is a tear-off disc 5, which is integrally connected to the closure cap 3 via a weakening line 6 before the closure is opened. The closure cap 3 and the tear-off disc 5 are made of plastic, of polypropylene.

In the case of an unopened closure according to FIG. 1, the closure cap 3 is fastened so that it can be displaced by pressure on the rolled rim ring 4 in the direction of the bottle 1. At the top, the end facing the stopper 2 of the tear-off disk 5, which can be separated by pressure from the closure cap 3, bears tightly against the stopper 2. This measure prevents contamination of the part of the stopper 2 to be pierced before the closure is opened. In the direction facing away from the bottle, the annular latching bead 7 holds the cap 3 on the bottle 1 behind the edge of the rolled rim ring 4 facing away from the bottle mouth.

Between the tear-off plate 5 held on the closure cap 3 when the closure is unopened via the weakening line 6 and the stopper 2 underneath there is a spacer which does not exceed the outline of the tear-off plate 5. The spacer must not exceed the outline of the tear-off wheel 5, so that the spacer can be replaced by the The tear-off disk 5 can slip through the opening formed in the closure cap 3. The spacer is formed in one piece with the tear-off disk 5 in the arrangement according to FIG.

A further closure arrangement with the bottle 1 is shown in FIGS. 3 and 4. In this arrangement, a pierceable, rubber stopper 8 also closes the bottle 1. When the closure is unopened, a closure cap 9 surrounds the rolled rim ring 4 and the stopper 8 formed around the bottle mouth. The closure cap 9 is attached by the snap bead 7 which engages behind the rolled rim ring 4 the bottle 1 held. In this arrangement, the spacer lying between the tearing disk 10 and the plug 8 when the closure is unopened is formed in one piece with the plug 8. However, it would also be possible to design the spacer partly in one piece with the tear-off disk, partly with the plug, or independently of both. The extension of the stopper 8 serving as a spacer is in close contact with the tear-off disk 10 in FIG. 3 and prevents any contamination of the part of the stopper 8 intended for piercing. The tear-off disk 10 and the closure cap 9 are made in one piece from plastic. According to FIG. 3, the tear-off disk 10 covering the stopper 8 when the closure is unopened is held on the closure cap 9 via the line of weakness 11.

The closure caps 3 and 9 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 expand in a funnel shape from the weakening lines 6 and 11 in the direction facing away from the bottle 1. The sealing caps 3 and 9 have a second, annular bead 12 on the inside of their outer jacket region, which extends over the rolled rim ring 4. The distance between the latching bead 7 and the second bead 12 corresponds in all figures to the smallest distance between the parts of the sealing cap 3 or 9 surrounding the tear-off disk 5 or 10 and the stopper 2 or 8 in the case of an unopened closure according to FIG. 1 or 3 the distance between the latching bead 7 and the second bead 12 the width of the rolled rim ring 4. The closure caps 3, 9 are supported not only on the stopper 2, 8 but also over the second bead 12 on the bottle in the direction of the bottle 1 edge of the rolled rim ring 4 facing the bottle mouth.

The mode of operation of the closure arrangements shown is described below. If you want the stopper 2 of the bottle shown in Figure 1 with an unopened closure for the insertion of a hollow needle, not shown expose, press with your thumb on the cap 3, as indicated by the arrows 13 in Fig.2. But you can also press the cap 3 against a solid object while holding the bottle in one hand. If the pressure is sufficiently high, the connection between the closure cap 3 and the tear-off disk 5 tears along the weakening line 6. The tear-off disc 5 then reaches the funnel-shaped extension of the closure cap 3 and is in contact with the pressure surface lying in the direction of the arrows 13, at most after its separation from the closure cap 3. After removal of the tear-off disk 5 with one hand, the bottle 1 is available for removing a medicament lying in the bottle 1 by means of a hollow needle. The cap 3 holds the stopper 2 in the bottle mouth because, after the cap 3 is pressed in, the second bead 12 on the one hand engages behind the edge of the rolled rim ring 4 facing away from the bottle mouth and engages there, and on the other hand the parts of the cap 3 surrounding the tear-off disc 5 Line stopper 2.

The opening process of the bottle 1 shown in FIG. 3, provided with a closure, proceeds in a similar manner. Press in the direction indicated by the arrows 14 in FIG. 4 on the closure cap 9 until the tear-off disk 10 separates from the closure cap 9 at the line of weakness 11. The extension of the plug 8 serving as a spacer then projects through the opening that has become free in the sealing cap 9. The stopper 8 can subsequently be pierced with a hollow needle and the medication lying in the bottle 1 can be removed. The stopper 8 is held in the bottle mouth by the parts of the closure cap 9 which are in contact with it, because the closure cap is in turn held on the bottle 1 by the second bead 12 which is locked behind the rolled rim ring 4.
