Description

The invention relates to a device for storing and / or transporting environmentally hazardous liquids, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Devices of this type are designed, for example, as pallet rack storage, as storage containers or as individually standing pallets on which liquid containers such as barrels or the like can be placed. A pallet-like collecting trough is known from practice, which is covered by a grating which forms the storage area for the liquid containers and in which, in the event of a leak in one of the liquid containers, the escaping liquid is retained. The drip pan is provided with feet that allow the pallet to be passed under with a forklift in the manner of a pallet.

In the document DE-U-8 632 864, a storage container with the dimensions of a conventional freight container is described, which has a collecting trough integrated in the floor for collecting leakage liquid. The closed end walls of the container are liquid-tightly connected to the drip pan and are made of relatively stable steel sheet so that they can protect the stored liquid container not only against the weather but also against mechanical damage. At the front, however, the container is open so that the liquid containers can be stored and removed like on a shelf.

The conventional sumps and containers with an integrated sump allow the liquid escaping from a leak in the bottom of a liquid container and also the liquid flowing down the walls of the liquid container, but there is still the risk that if the side walls of the liquid container are damaged the leakage liquid emerges in a relatively powerful jet and splashes out over the edge of the collecting trough, so that the floor of the storage building becomes contaminated and / or the leakage liquid gets into the sewage system or into the groundwater.

In the document DE-U 8 622 993 a container is described, which is built as a welded steel structure on a sump. The walls of the container are formed by steel frames, in each of which a relatively thin cladding panel is inserted. The steel structure is welded to the drip pan on three sides and, by attaching flaps or doors, it is possible to create a container that is closed on all sides and is suitable for storage and transport outdoors. Another function of the steel structure is to allow multiple containers to be stacked.

However, the relatively thin wall cladding can, for example, be relatively easily pierced by the fork of a forklift approaching and therefore does not offer adequate protection against damage to the stored barrels. In addition, since there is no liquid-tight connection of the wall cladding to the collecting trough and the wall cladding can easily detach from the steel frame in the event of an impact, there is a risk that the liquid spurting out of the barrels will get into the environment.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a storage device which reliably prevents liquid containers stored or transported in the device from being damaged and leaked liquid spurting out into the environment in an uncontrolled manner.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a device in the form of a pallet-like collecting trough with the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention result from the subclaims. Claim 7 relates to a storage device in which pallet-like collecting trays are combined according to claim 1 with a shelf container.

Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings.

Es zeigen:

  • Fig. 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht einer Auffangwanne für die Lagerung von Flüssigkeitsbehältern;
Show it:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of a drip pan for the storage of liquid containers.
  • 2 shows a side view of a collecting trough according to another exemplary embodiment of the invention; and
  • Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a storage container with sumps.

A vertically protruding protective shield 16 made of sheet metal is attached to one side of the collecting trough 10 and is welded at its lower edge in a liquid-tight manner to the wall of the collecting trough 10. The protective shield 16 has side walls 18 which are pulled a little around the corners of the collecting trough. Rainwater is drained to the outside through an upper wall 20 of the protective shield sloping outwards. A holder 22 for liquid containers, for example for barrels, is attached to the side walls 18 of the protective shield. In the example shown, the holder 22 is formed by a belt which can be tensioned around the barrel by means of a buckle 24.

For the storage of liquid containers, one or more of the collecting trays 10 shown in FIG. 1 can be set up in a warehouse or the like. The drip pans are preferably placed close together and oriented in such a way that their protective shields 16 face the traffic route of the camp. The stored liquid containers are then protected by the protective shields against damage by forklifts or the like traveling on the traffic route. If a leak nevertheless occurs in one of the liquid containers on the side facing the traffic route, it will spit out Leaking liquid caught by the protective shield 16 and passed into the drip pan. At the other edges of the drip pan, which are not secured by protective shields, leakage of leakage liquid is prevented, for example, by the drip trays being placed close together and by the joints between the drip trays being sealed by U-rails placed in the opposite position on the tub edges. At the corners of a bearing surface formed in this way, collecting trays can also be provided, which are provided with a protective shield on two adjoining edges.

Collection trays of this type can not only be used for a ground-level warehouse, but can also form the floor area of a raised platform.

In addition, the sumps are also suitable for transporting drums or the like on trucks. In this case, the drip pans are placed on the loading area with protective shields facing outwards.

The holder 22 prevents the stored or transported barrels from falling over, so that safety is further increased.

The feet 12 allow the collecting pan to be driven under in the manner of a pallet with the aid of a forklift.

Die Kufen bieten ebenfalls die Möglichkeit, die Auffangwanne 10 von allen Seiten her mit einem Gabelstapler zu unterfahren, und haben den weiteren Vorteil, daß die Auffangwannen 10 auch auf einem Rollgang transportiert werden können.FIG. 2 shows a modified embodiment of the collecting trough, in which the feet are designed as bow-shaped runners 26 which run at right angles to the level of the protective shield 16 and are rounded at the corners. The runners also offer the possibility of driving under the collecting trough 10 from all sides with a forklift, and have the further advantage that the collecting troughs 10 can also be transported on a roller table.

The protective shield 16 is provided according to FIG. 2 at its lower edge with a diagonally falling deflector 28 which prevents the rainwater running down the outer surface of the protective shield 16 from reaching the area under the collecting trough 10.

An upper bearing level 34 is formed by collecting trays suspended in the frame construction. The lower storage level, on the other hand, is formed by collecting trays 10 of the type shown in FIG. 1 or 2, which are inserted like drawers into the lower compartments of the shelf container. The dimensions of the protective shields 16 are adapted to the frame structure 32 such that the lower compartments of the shelf container 30 are completely closed off by the protective shields of the collecting trays placed next to one another. The insertion depth of the collecting troughs 10 is limited by suitable stops in such a way that the protective shields 16 are flush with the front of the shelf container and that the rainwater running down the protective shields is discharged to the outside through the deflectors 28 and not into the floor space of the container below the collecting troughs 10 reached.

The depth of the collecting troughs corresponds to approximately half the depth of the shelf container 32, so that the lower storage level of the container is completely closed when the collecting troughs 10 are inserted from opposite sides.

Suitable slide-in locks preferably prevent the collecting trays 10 from being inserted into the container upside down, that is to say with the protective shield 16 pointing inwards. The insertion lock is preferably formed by locking rods 36 which protrude from the protective shield 16 and which abut the upper edge of the container compartment.

In a modified embodiment, the insertion lock is formed by a template-like strip 38 (FIG. 1) which runs in the longitudinal direction in the shelf container 32 and is provided with pockets 40 for receiving the feet 12 of the collecting trough according to FIG. As can be seen in Figure 1, the distance between the feet 12 on the front edge, understood by the protective shield 16, of the collecting trough is different from the distance between the feet on the opposite edge, so that the collecting trough is only in the correct position, with the outside facing Push the protective shield fully into the shelf container.

The protective shield 16 is preferably designed as a self-supporting structure made of a sufficiently rigid sheet, for example a steel sheet with a thickness of 3 or 5 mm.
