Abstract

Cream dispensers (1) of a conventional type have a container (2) and a piston (9) with a riser pipe (8). For removal, pressure is exerted on the piston (9) so that the cream emerges through the riser pipe (8). The seal between the piston (9) and a side wall (3) of the container is effected either by precise fitting or by sealing lips. A piston of this type cannot adapt to different container diameters. A cream dispenser is therefore to be provided, in which the container diameter varies with the height. The cream dispenser (1) according to the invention, with a container (2) receiving the cream, has a piston (9) which has on its outer circumferential surface (11) at least one ring (15, 16, 17) of variable outside diameter with an annular gap which is prestressed resiliently in such a way that it rests on the adjacent inside wall of the container. Cream dispensers of this type can be used for toothpaste or the like or for medical creams in the medical sector. <IMAGE>
