Besonders kritische Situationen stellen sich dann schnell ein, wenn portionsweise geschnitten wird, da in diesem Falle zwischen den einzelnen Portionen ruckartige Zwischenbeschleunigungen des Bandes erforderlich sind. Werden jedoch Leerschnitte eingeschaltet, so ergibt sich ein insgesamt deutlich gleichmäßigerer Bandlauf auch bei wesentlich erhöhter Schnittgeschwindigkeit. Voraussetzung dafür, daß in der Praxis mit den für einen optimalen Bandlauf erforderlichen Leerschnitten gearbeitet werden kann, ist aber wiederum das Vermeiden der störenden Schnitzelbildung, und aus diesem Grunde kommt den diese Schnitzelbildung verhindernden Maßnahmen gemäß vorliegender Erfindung besondere Bedeutung zu.Avoiding the formation of chips when making empty cuts is important not only with regard to the economy of the slicing process, but also because the targeted use of empty cuts enables a significantly higher overall cutting speed.
