Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to an object for holding a timepiece and / or jewelry intended to be worn by a person, such as for example a bracelet, a frame or any link intended to hold the piece in place. in question.

The current trend, for this kind of object, goes towards the so-called consumer item allowing, among other effects, to follow more closely and without too much cost of implementation a fashion with sudden fluctuations and of short duration requested by an increasingly large clientele, of the demanding and versatile type, who continually seek a certain originality in appearance.

Faced with the considerable and continuous fall in the cost of timepieces, following both technological development and a fierce competitive struggle, and faced with the success of wearing charms or costume jewelry, the manufacturer of these parts are practically obliged to find products always new, low cost, easily operable in series, of various shapes and aspects, replacing traditional objects of this type such as those in leather or metal more or less precious.

This is how currently the bulk of the market, at least by its volume, is in moldable plastic holding objects which can be produced in series up to the finishing stage and which can be easily colored in the mass, from the translucent to the opaque.

The object of the invention is to further increase the power to respond to the versatility of demand for this type of maintenance object while offering the advantage of a possibility of appreciable reduction in its cost price compared to the current technique. To this end, the object for holding a timepiece and / or jewelry according to the invention is characterized in that it comprises at least one supporting structure made of paper.

In this way, paper being a material commonly made and universally available in a considerable number of varieties, it is always possible to choose each time the one which is best suited, according to its flexibility, resistance, appearance and its capacities to be decorated, cut, embossed, formed and / or laminated in several thicknesses, to the destination of the object and to the chosen fashion.

The implementation of such paper objects is easy and requires only a tool commonly available without requiring for it particular and expensive appropriation at each change of shape or appearance required by the fluctuations of fashion, this which is not the case for moldable plastic objects which require each time the prior manufacture of new expensive molds.

The cost of the paper object is relatively low, both in itself and for its implementation.

Finally, and this is not its least advantage, the paper object is degradable and thus preserves the integrity of the environment.

The first embodiment shown in Figure 1 is formed by assembling, by gluing, the side wall of a paper box 1 and a paper strip 3 whose enlarged middle part forms the bottom of the box 1 .

The box 1 has a side notch 18 open upwards and the strip 3 has at its two ends connecting means constituted here by two pieces of fastening strip 19 called "Velcro" fixed on one side to the front and the on the other side on the back.

The object thus formed forms a bracelet intended for the maintenance of a watch 12, of the type without attachments, by self-tightening of its case inside the cavity formed by the side wall of the case 1, the winder of this watch being engaged in the notch 18.

In a variant not shown, the side wall of the box 1 can be assembled by gluing either on a band 3 forming a bracelet but on a simple paper background with the same external contour as it. This variant constitutes a simple box 1 for holding a watch intended to be worn in a pocket, a pocket or a jacket pocket.

Box 1 can be obtained by stamping a thick cardboard resulting for example from a lamination of several sheets of paper.

The bracelet band 3 can be obtained by cutting with a shape cutter.

The second embodiment shown in FIG. 2 consists of a paper casing 2 intended to cover a watch plate 13, and a paper strip 3 identical to that of FIG. 1.

The box 2, which can be produced in the same way as the box 1 of the first embodiment, comprises a glazing 20 clamped and glued between two thicknesses of paper and a lateral notch 19, here open downwards.

The paper strip 3 has at its two ends two pieces of "Velcro" type hanging strip.

This case 2 and this band 3 thus form a bracelet for holding a watch plate 13, after introduction of the latter into the case 2 and bonding of the latter to the band 3.

The glazing 20 can be of any desired nature, in particular in translucent paper. It can also be fixed to the housing 2 by clamping inside its side wall. It may also be nonexistent in the case for example of a digital display plate, in which case the box 2 is no longer formed except by its side wall.

Here also, and in a variant not shown, the housing 2 can be assembled by gluing, after introduction of the plate 13, no longer on a strip 3 but on a simple background of the same external contour as it, and thus form a simple housing holding a watch plate.

To form a watch strap, an object according to the invention does not necessarily have to include a box 1 or a case 2 as in the first two embodiments which have just been described.

With this in mind, an original and particularly simple and economical design is illustrated by the third embodiment shown in FIG. 3.

The watch strap is here constituted by a simple strip of paper 4 comprising substantially in its middle part and on one edge a notch 21, here in an arc of a circle, of appropriate size so that its border can be taken and clamped between the two surfaces annular and reciprocal support of the housing 22 and the bottom 23 of a watch 12 of the type without fasteners.

This bracelet 4 here includes, like the previous ones, attachment means constituted by pieces of "Velcro" bands 19.

A watch strap according to the invention can also be produced conventionally in one or two pieces suitable for holding a watch with lateral fastening bars. Figures 4 and 5 illustrate this embodiment.

In the fourth embodiment shown in Figure 4, the bracelet 5 consists of a strip of paper in one piece whose two ends are folded towards the middle part and laminated over a certain length, until forming two end folds 24 in which the two bars of a watch 25 of the aforementioned type are intended to be threaded.

The attachment means of this bracelet 5 are here constituted by the two male and female parts of a press button 26, the protruding member of the male part is fitted slightly by force into a selected hole of said bracelet.

In a variant not shown, the one-piece bracelet of this type can be formed by a simple strip of paper without folds intended to be placed under the back of the watch and passed on either side thereof around the two bars of the watch case to be then stretched when it is hung on the user's wrist.

In the fifth embodiment shown in FIG. 5, the bracelet 6 is in two parts similar to the two folded parts of the bracelet 5 in FIG. 4, these two parts each comprising a fold 24 intended for threading a bar of the shows 25 and one of the two parts of a press button 26.

The sixth embodiment shown in Figure 6 is a bracelet 7 including a box 1b for holding a watch without fasteners, not shown so as not to overload the drawing unnecessarily.

This bracelet 7 is obtained from a single piece of sheet of paper cut according to the line drawn in fine lines representing its development 14, by folding and double-sided collage, after enclosing a watch from which the winder comes out through a notch 18 provided in the layout in question.

This sixth embodiment is more particularly but not exclusively suitable for maintaining a watch with a square or rectangular case, a quadrangular opening 27 being provided in the part forming the case 1, substantially to the dimension of the glass of this watch.

The hooking means of the bracelet by press button 26 shown here can obviously be replaced by other known means, such as the "Velcro" bands already mentioned or even the traditional loops and loops which can be caught in folds of end such as the folds 24 of FIGS. 4 and 5.

The object according to the invention can also serve a dual purpose, as an object in itself or by association or integration with another object.

The seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth embodiments shown in Figures 7, 8, 9 and 10 respectively illustrate this particular design.

In the seventh embodiment shown in Figure 7, and object is treated as a "postal bracelet", that is to say an object that can be sent as is by post. To do this, the supporting structure is here constituted by a strip of paper 8 of selected quality suitable for printing by handwriting, by machine and / or stamped, the width of this strip of paper 8 being provided at least equal to the minimum width prescribed for postal items.

This strip of paper 8 has an opening 28, here of circular shape supplemented by a projection 29 intended for housing the winder of a watch 12 such as that already shown in FIG. 3 for example.

The maintenance of the watch 12 is here also ensured by the tightening of the edge of the opening 28 between the two reciprocal annular bearing surfaces of the housing 22 and of the bottom 23 of this watch 12.

The attachment means of the bracelet 8 are constituted by two "Velcro" bands 19 which can advantageously be provided covered by a protetion, not shown, for example of transparent paper, intended to be removed by the recipient before use.

In the eighth embodiment shown in FIG. 8, the paper supporting structure is constituted by a watch strap 9, for example of the type with digital display, this strap 9 forming an integral part of a product packaging 17, that is that is to say, in fact, whose outer contour is either to be cut with scissors, or already precut by grooves and which suffices to detach.

This embodiment can constitute a promotional means of selling a product by offering as a bonus a cheap watch, or a charm, or a small fancy jewel maintained by the bracelet 9.

The ninth embodiment shown in FIG. 9 consists in integrating the object according to the invention into the paper structure of a postcard.

The paper supporting structure is here shaped as a watch strap 10 in two parts connectable by gluing, for example by means of prefixed double-sided adhesive, after cutting or detaching a postcard 15. This embodiment is advantageously suitable to a greeting card or birthday greeting in standard formats.

Finally, in the tenth embodiment shown in FIG. 10, the object according to the invention consists of a pendant 11 forming an integral part of a tie for attaching a package, which here is a paper cord 16.

The part shown here held by the pendant 11 thus formed is a fancy stone 30 mounted in a paper mount 31 taken and glued in a loop of the paper cord 16.

The recipient of a package whose packaging is attached using the link 16 can cut it to the desired length on either side of the stone 30 and attach it around the neck or elsewhere by a simple knot. It is also possible to provide other attachment means, such as for example a snap button, the two parts of which are engaged separately in loops of the paper cord 16, in the same manner as the frame 31.

In a variant not shown, relating to packaging, an object according to the invention may also include a supporting structure, such as for example a paper box or box, integrated into a packaging label which itself can be provided sufficiently wide to play the role of bracelet.

It is obvious that the invention is not limited to the embodiments shown, which are given only by way of examples. Starting from these, it is indeed possible to provide variants, in particular in the attachment means, as well as in the maintained pieces which can be reversed, that is to say a piece of jewelry. in place of a timepiece or vice versa, each time appropriating the shape of the means of connection of the paper supporting structure with the maintained part. And of course, in the case of a bearing structure clamped between the case and the back of a watch, the taking and cutting of the bearing structure will be granted to the mode of connection of the case and its bottom.
