Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a blank for a record sleeve made of paper with an inner liner made of a plastic double film, in which two paper sections corresponding to the front and back of the sleeve are integrally connected to one another via a fold line and to glue their free longitudinal edges to a paper section with two on it oppositely arranged foldable adhesive edge strips is equipped, and in which the plastic double film is held on the paper section provided with the adhesive edge strips and is connected to this section at least along part of its edges while covering the fold line of the paper sections.
For the production of printed record sleeves, it is known to print the blanks using the flat or rotary printing process before they are further processed. It is also known to print the finished bags on their front and / or back, but the printing does not cover the entire surface can be made, but an unprinted edge area remains, which is necessary to move the pocket with the aid of a gripper device through the printing unit.
Printed blanks cannot be used for the production of record sleeves with an inner lining made of a plastic double film, since it is necessary to work from the roll in the manufacture of such record sleeves. The printing of such record sleeves provided with an inner lining is in turn only possible while leaving an unprinted edge on which the sleeve is gripped and passed through the printing press.
The invention has for its object to form a blank for a record sleeve of the type mentioned in such a way that the sleeve made from the blank can be provided with a borderless, full-surface pressure of its outer sides.
To achieve the above object, the above-mentioned blank is characterized in that the sections of paper corresponding to the front and back have a length greater by an edge strip than the finished paper wrapper and the edge strips are designed as adhesive strips, and in that they are on the longitudinal edges of the one section provided foldable adhesive edge strips end at a distance from the fold line and the corners of the plastic double film are cut off in the region of the fold line connecting the paper sections.
If a blank of the aforementioned type is folded after gluing, the edge strips designed as adhesive strips form a gripper strip for the feeder of a printing press, this gripper bar being cut off after printing and the interface forming the opening edge of the record sleeve.
The edge strips, which are designed as adhesive strips, ensure in the folded state of the blank that when the record sleeve is inserted into the printing press, no air enters the sleeve and bulges it up. In order to avoid pinch folds due to air already present in the cover, the foldable adhesive edge strips ending at a distance from the fold line and the cut corners in the folded state of the blank leave the non-bonded side edge areas which serve as air outlet gaps, so that the Cover can be printed over the entire surface up to the fold line, without having to fear interference due to air pockets in the cover.
The air outlet gaps remaining in the area of the fold line do not have a disruptive effect when the record sleeve is used.
It is expedient if the plastic double film has corresponding extensions at its ends facing away from the fold line of the paper sections and its cut corners in the region of the fold line. This makes it possible to produce the plastic film sections from a roll stock corresponding to their width without any waste.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment in the form of a plan view of the unfolded blank provided with the plastic double film as the inner lining.
In the illustration it is assumed that the upper
The
The
It can also be seen that the corners of the plastic
The figure also shows that the
To fold the cover, the
Characterized in that the
The
The record sleeve produced from the illustrated blank in the manner described, with its inner lining, can be gripped on the glued-together
The covering can be printed over the entire surface up to the dash-dotted boundary lines of the
The described design of the blank thus enables the production of a record sleeve with an inner lining by rational work from the roll and allows for the first time in this mode of operation a full-surface printing of the outer wall surfaces of the sleeve without a free edge strip visibly appearing.
