Definitions
- the invention relates to a writing tip with ball for liquid ink, with a tube of small diameter, in which an indentation serving for the spherical system is provided, the spherical being held between the circumferential indentation forming a spherical bearing surface and an inwardly curved edge at the free end of the tube, and wherein in the tube, which has the same diameter with the exception of the circumferential, cylindrical cut-in recess, the interior of which is essentially filled with ink conductors and ink channels, which run parallel to and at a distance from one another in the front region of the tube in the inner wall thereof.
- European patent application 0 066 541 describes a method for producing a ballpoint pen tip fed with liquid ink, in which the starting material is a tube with an inner diameter of 1 mm.
- This tube is subjected to various deformation stages in order to produce the writing tip and to receive the ball, the inner diameter of the tube in the area of the tip in particular being reduced in several stages.
- the free end of the tube is elastically deformed so that the ball can be pressed in from the front and the tip resiliently surrounds the ball.
- An ink conductor extends inside the front portion of the writing tip and is axially spaced from the ball. By rotating the ball, the writing fluid is sucked out of the ink holder into a room and then led to the circumference of the ball.
- a number of working and deformation stages are required to produce this known writing tip, which make the writing tip technically complex overall, and a further disadvantage is that the space in the area of the ball rest in the form of spaced conical indentations is not uniform with writing fluid is filled.
- US-A-4 457 644 describes a writing tip with a ball which is held in a tube which is flanged at the front by means of notch-shaped indentations which are spaced apart from one another.

- the ball socket is made of a corrosion-resistant material, with the weak-walled tube at the location of the ball seat being drawn in over its entire circumference and thus completely enclosing the ball over more than half of its surface so that the ball no longer stops even at low speed can rattle or bump so that a bad typeface is switched off.
- a writing tip is designed so that a rod is inserted into a tube holding the ball, which forms a counter bearing for the ball. A space is left between the rod and the tube so that writing fluid can reach the ball.
- built-in ink outlets extend, which are connected to the ink channels and the outside of the holder, so that writing fluid can be supplied to the ball.
- this ink supply is carried out with the aid of technically complex means and not particularly dosed, so that there is a risk that strokes of different stroke widths are produced with this known writing tip.
- FR-A-1 032 475 describes a writing instrument for pasty writing media in which the tube has the same diameter throughout, with the exception of the circumferential, cylindrical section.
- the main deficiency of this known arrangement is to be seen in the fact that the ink channels can only be incorporated into the tube with the upsetting process and that the writing tip must therefore be produced in a technically very complex manner.
- the object underlying the invention is therefore to provide a writing tip for liquid ink of the type outlined at the outset, which is safe and effective in operation without having to use technically complex means in its manufacture.
- the ink channels extend at least over the region of the indentation, the contour of which is formed, and are so long that they also partially surround the ink conductor.
- the main advantage of the proposal according to the invention is that a thin-walled tube with a diameter which essentially corresponds to the ball diameter can be used, in particular due to the formation of the axially extending ink channels, which partially overlap the ink guide located further back in the tube, a very good ink contact between the ink line and ball is guaranteed, so that lines of uniform line width can be generated with such a writing instrument.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a writing tip with ball for liquid ink, with a tube of small diameter, in which an indentation serving for the spherical system is provided, the spherical being held between the circumferential indentation forming a spherical bearing surface and an inwardly curved edge at the free end of the tube, and wherein in the tube, which has the same diameter with the exception of the circumferential, cylindrical cut-in recess, the interior of which is essentially filled with ink conductors and ink channels, which run parallel to and at a distance from one another in the front region of the tube in the inner wall thereof.
European patent application 0 066 541 describes a method for producing a ballpoint pen tip fed with liquid ink, in which the starting material is a tube with an inner diameter of 1 mm. This tube is subjected to various deformation stages in order to produce the writing tip and to receive the ball, the inner diameter of the tube in the area of the tip in particular being reduced in several stages. The free end of the tube is elastically deformed so that the ball can be pressed in from the front and the tip resiliently surrounds the ball. An ink conductor extends inside the front portion of the writing tip and is axially spaced from the ball. By rotating the ball, the writing fluid is sucked out of the ink holder into a room and then led to the circumference of the ball. A number of working and deformation stages are required to produce this known writing tip, which make the writing tip technically complex overall, and a further disadvantage is that the space in the area of the ball rest in the form of spaced conical indentations is not uniform with writing fluid is filled.
Dabei muß das Rohr, wenn es als gleichzeitige Halterung für die Kugel und zur Aufnahme des Tintenleiters dient, unterschiedliche Umfangskonturen aufweisen.US-A-4 457 644 describes a writing tip with a ball which is held in a tube which is flanged at the front by means of notch-shaped indentations which are spaced apart from one another. The design is such that either the tube has different thicknesses and is subjected to different processing stages in order to accommodate an ink holder, or another component in which ink channels are incorporated and which extends to the ink supply is introduced into the tube. The tube, if it serves as a simultaneous holder for the ball and for receiving the ink conductor, must have different peripheral contours.
In the case of a ballpoint pen tip according to DE-C-820 254, the construction is such that a ball socket from a tube piece is fitted onto a further ink supply tube, which in turn is held in the front end of a ballpoint pen. The ball socket is made of a corrosion-resistant material, with the weak-walled tube at the location of the ball seat being drawn in over its entire circumference and thus completely enclosing the ball over more than half of its surface so that the ball no longer stops even at low speed can rattle or bump so that a bad typeface is switched off.
According to US-A-3 904 297 a writing tip is designed so that a rod is inserted into a tube holding the ball, which forms a counter bearing for the ball. A space is left between the rod and the tube so that writing fluid can reach the ball. In the inner wall of the tip section of this tube, built-in ink outlets extend, which are connected to the ink channels and the outside of the holder, so that writing fluid can be supplied to the ball. However, this ink supply is carried out with the aid of technically complex means and not particularly dosed, so that there is a risk that strokes of different stroke widths are produced with this known writing tip.
The main deficiency of this known arrangement is to be seen in the fact that the ink channels can only be incorporated into the tube with the upsetting process and that the writing tip must therefore be produced in a technically very complex manner.
The object underlying the invention is therefore to provide a writing tip for liquid ink of the type outlined at the outset, which is safe and effective in operation without having to use technically complex means in its manufacture.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the ink channels extend at least over the region of the indentation, the contour of which is formed, and are so long that they also partially surround the ink conductor.
Zweckmäßige Weitergestaltungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen.Appropriate further developments result from the subclaims.
The main advantage of the proposal according to the invention is that a thin-walled tube with a diameter which essentially corresponds to the ball diameter can be used, in particular due to the formation of the axially extending ink channels, which partially overlap the ink guide located further back in the tube, a very good ink contact between the ink line and ball is guaranteed, so that lines of uniform line width can be generated with such a writing instrument. In addition, the writing tip according to the invention is simple to manufacture and thus inexpensive.
Further advantages result from the following explanation of the invention using an exemplary embodiment with reference to the attached drawing.

As shown in Fig. 1, a thin-
What is important is the axial length of the
For the exact centered introduction of the annular taper of the tube in the region of the
Fig. 3 zeigt schließlich eine fertig montierte Schreibspitze. There, in the front section 2, which serves as a ball receptacle, a ball 1 is inserted, which lies against the area 6 of the
