Claims (6)

1. Cartouche de ruban d'impression pour machine imprimante, notamment pour impression par transfert ther­mique, comportant un corps de cartouche (1) possédant : une entrée et une sortie de ruban (13) situées sur ou au voisinage immédiat d'un premier côté (B) du corps de cartouche ; deux axes (3) pour l'enroulement et le dévi­dement du ruban (4) ; et des moyens de guidage (9) pour guider le ruban en déplacement,
caractérisée en ce qu'elle comporte en outre deux bras (5) situés de part et d'autre du corps de cartouche et supportés respectivement sur les deux côtés opposés (A) sensiblement transversaux au susdit premier côté (B), chaque bras (5) ayant une première extrémité munie de moyens (6, 7, 8) de liaison coulissante et pivotante avec le côté (A) cor­respondant du corps de cartouche de manière que le bras (5) puisse, d'une première position non fonctionnelle (ou position de stockage de la cartouche) dans laquelle le bras s'étend le long du côté du corps de cartouche avec ladite première extrémité située au voisinage du côté de la cartouche opposé au susdit premier côté (B) et avec son extrémité libre -munie de moyens de guidage (9₁) sur lesquels passe le ruban (4)- située au voisinage du susdit premier côté, passer, par un coulissement axial suivi d'une rotation, à une seconde position fonction­nelle (ou position d'utilisation de la cartouche) dans laquelle le bras (5) s'étend sensiblement dans le prolon­gement du susdit premier côté (B) avec sa première extré­mité située au voisinage dudit premier côté,
et en ce qu'elle comporte en outre des moyens élastiques de tension (11) agissant sur le ruban (4) pour maintenir celui-ci tendu quelle que soit la position (repliée ou étendue) des bras (5) ainsi qu'au cours du passage des bras d'une de leurs positions à l'autre,
ce grâce à quoi il est possible de réaliser une cartouche qui, avec ses bras repliés, possède des dimensions géné­rales sensiblement identiques à celles d'une cartouche standard embarquable sur le système d'impression mobile, mais qui, avec ses bras déployés, s'étend sensiblement sur au moins toute la largeur du support d'impression et expose une longueur de ruban au moins égale à la largeur de ce support d'impression.

and in that it further comprises elastic tensioning means (11) acting on the strip (4) to keep the latter taut whatever the position (folded or extended) of the arms (5) as well as during of the passage of the arms from one of their positions to the other,
