Abstract

Multi-function manicure tool, of the type consisting of an outer tubular handle (1) which, at one end, is provided with an orange stick (2), and which serves as a container for a unit formed by a cuticle remover (10), a file (11) and a cleaning tip (12). In the said tool, the said handle (1) is transparent and substantially flattened, its small sides being translucent or matt and forming the orange stick (2) at the straight end portion of the handle, the said handle (1) being completed by a cap (13) provided with fastening means and combined with ends which are duly profiled for carrying out three functions: one of cutting, another of levelling the nail edges and the last one for removing blackheads or small skin blemishes. <IMAGE>

Description

The present invention relates to a manicure tool characterized in that it consists of a series of elements making it possible to perform, with a single device, seven functions of the body type, six being of manicure and the last of extraction blackheads and small skin buttons, thanks to which, it is obviously very practical for both the specialist and the person undergoing this treatment.

There is already known a manicure tool consisting of a tubular body or handle which, at one end, is provided with a repeller, and which houses in its interior an assembly formed by a cuticle cutter, a file and a cleaning point. According to the new version which is proposed now, said handle is transparent and clearly flattened, its short sides being translucent or frosted, the repeller forms the extreme direct part of said handle, and this handle is completed by a cap which is provided with means of fixation and which has duly profiled ends to accomplish three functions, one for cutting, another for equalizing the edge of the filed nails and the last for extracting small skin pimples or blackheads.

Said cap, also formed by a flattened, transparent tubular body, the curved sides of which are translucent or frosted, has its outer end closed by a flat bottom, pins or rivets for fixing a means for retaining the assembly appearing on the surface of one of the large faces of said cap; this fixing means is constituted by an elastic metal clip carrying at the end corresponding to the opening of the cap, a tapered arc edge like a knife, next to which appear triangular notches to equalize the edge nails, and the opposite end of said cap ends in a perforated cap or shell which is used to extract the blackheads.

The combination of the cap and the handle is achieved by means of a suitable ring, integral with the double-sided file and the cuticle insert, the assembly being constructed independently and in such a way that it is possible to carry out, thanks to him, seven operations which are cutting the cuticles, filing the nails, cleaning them with the tip of the file, lowering the skins, cutting or filing said nails, equalizing them this and the extraction of blackheads or small pimples from the skin.

For a better understanding of the present specification, drawings have been appended, representing, by way of nonlimiting example, an embodiment of a tool having the characteristics mentioned.

The object of the present invention consists of a flattened tubular body made of transparent material 1 which serves as a handle and has one of its ends closed by an oblique bottom 2, forming an edge usable as a foil or skin foil.

At the open end, or mouth, of said handle 1 is adapted a ring 3 of any suitable material, also of flattened shape, which has an outer annular average edge 4 and two housings 5 and 6 which receive, initially, the flat ends 7 and 8 respectively, of a plate 9 provided with a cuticle cutting tip 10 and a flat double-sided file 11, terminated by a nail cleaning tip 12.

The retaining bodies on the handle 1 is completed by a cap of the same shape 13, itself transparent and open at one end to apply to the ring 3 and closed at the opposite end 14. Said cap 13 has a clip 15 of elastic metal fixing, which, on the one hand, is fixed to the corresponding outer wall of said cap 13 by means of pins or rivets 16 and on the other hand, has ends shaped as follows: the lower end, that who coincides with the mouth of the cap is folded as shown in Figure 5, forming a pallet 17 with a tapered edge and serving as a scraper knife 18 and with two triangular side cuts 19, intended to accompany and equalize the edge of the nails once filed. The opposite or upper end has the shape of a spherical cap 20, with an orifice suitable for the extraction by pressure of comedones or small pimples from the skin.

The tubular body 1 and the cap 13 have the particularity that only their flat faces or large faces a are transparent, while the small curved faces or faces b are translucent or frosted, as seen in the enlarged detailed drawing of the figure 6.

• b) Au moment de l'emploi, on dispose de sept parties fonctionnelles qui sont, un couteau de coupe 10 en forme de gouge pour couper les peaux (cuticules), une lime métallique 11 pour les ongles et leur nettoyage au moyen de la pointe 12 de ladite lime, un repousse-peaux (cuticules) 2, un couteau 18 pour racler et égaliser la surface des ongles, deux entailles triangulaires et effilées 19 pour limer, égaliser et éliminer les bavures des ongles après qu'ils aient été limés et un dispositif pour extraire les comédons ou petits boutons de la peau 20. Le capuchon 13 sert de protecteur du coupe-cuticules 10 et de manche pour la lime 11. Le corps 1 sert également de housse portant le repousse-peaux 2 et de protecteur de ladite lime.
• c) Outre les sept fonctions mentionnées, le dispositif est d'un transport facile et son aspect extérieur est agréable du point de vue esthétique. Il est de fabrication simple, et ses composés sont d'une grande durée.

From the above we deduce the following:

• a) the device described is made up of three fundamental parts which are, the external body to the handle 1, the internal assembly, formed by the three elements 3, 9 and 11 assembled during manufacture and the cap 13. The tool in non-operating phase is clearly shown in FIG. 7. In this way, it can be placed in any bag thanks to the elastic clip 15.
• b) At the time of use, there are seven functional parts which are, a gouge-shaped cutting knife 10 for cutting the skins (cuticles), a metal file 11 for the nails and their cleaning by means of the point. 12 of said file, a skin repeller (cuticles) 2, a knife 18 for scraping and leveling the surface of the nails, two triangular and tapered cuts 19 for filing, leveling and removing burrs from the nails after they have been filed and a device for extracting blackheads or small pimples from the skin 20. The cap 13 serves as a protector for the cuticle cutter 10 and a handle for the file 11. The body 1 also serves as a cover carrying the pusher 2 and as a protector for said file.
• c) In addition to the seven functions mentioned, the device is easy to transport and its external appearance is pleasant from an aesthetic point of view. It is simple to manufacture, and its compounds are of great duration.

The materials used, the shapes and the dimensions of the various parts which constitute the manicure tool described, are independent of the subject of the invention, provided that the variations introduced do not affect its essential character.

Claims (3)

1. Manicure tool with multiple functions, of the type constituted by an outer tubular handle (1) which at one end is provided with a repeller (2) and which serves as housing for an assembly formed by a cuticle cutter (10) , a file (11) and a cleaning point (12), characterized in that said handle (1) is transparent and clearly flattened, its short sides (b) being translucent or frosted and forming the repeller (2) at the direct end portion of said handle, said handle (1) being completed by a cap (13) provided with fixing means and combined with duly profiled ends to perform three functions, one for cutting, another for equalizing the edge of the nails, and the last extraction of blackheads or small pimples from the skin. 2. Manicure tool with multiple functions, according to the preceding claim, characterized in that said cap (13), also formed by a flattened tubular body, transparent and whose short curved sides (b) are translucent or frosted, has a end (14) closed by a flat bottom, while there are, on the surface of one of the large faces of said cap, pins or rivets - (16) for fixing a means (15) for retaining the 'assembly, constituted by an elastic metal clip which carries at the end corresponding to the mouth of said cap, an arcuate edge (18), tapered in the shape of a knife, next to which are triangular recesses (19) also tapered, for level the edge of the already filed nails, while the opposite end ends in a perforated cap or shell (20) which is used to extract the blackheads. 3. Manicure tool with multiple functions, according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the combination of the cap (13) and the handle (1) is achieved by means of a suitable ring (3) integral with the file double-sided (11) and the cuticle insert (9), the assembly being structured independently so that it is possible to carry out the seven operations which are: cutting the cuticles, filing and cleaning with the tip of the file, the lowering of the skins, the cutting or scraping of the nails, the equalization of these and the extraction of blackheads or small pimples from the skin.
