Description

  • La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant la manipulation par déroulement de divers produits présentés en rouleaux et plus particulièrement des pellicules de matières plastiques étirables destinées à l'emballage des produits les plus divers.
  • Ces rouleaux se présentent très généralement sous forme d'un manchon en carton sur lequel est enroulée une très grande longueur d'une pellicule mince de largeur variable, mais généralement de l'ordre de 0,25 microns. Pour emballer un produit donné, l'opérateur fixe l'extrémité libre de la pellicule en un point du produit, et doit ensuite enrouler cette pellicule tout autour du produit, en la déroulant au fur et à mesure du rouleau, jusqu'à ce que l'emballage soit achevé, à la suite de quoi le produit se trouve enfermé dans un volume de pellicule adhérant sur elle-même.
  • L'inconvénient et la difficulté de cette technique, par ailleurs commode et efficace, viennent du poids et des dimensions du rouleau, surtout au début de son utilisation, poids auquel vient s'ajouter le poids d'un appareil dérouleur lourd et peu maniable. En effet, l'opérateur doit alors à la fois déplacer le rouleau et l'appareil dérouleur autour du produit et le faire tourner sur lui-même pour en dérouler la pellicule. L'absence de toute prise sur le manchon rend cette opération pénible et fatigante et peu précise.
  • L'invention élimine ces inconvénients, grâce à des embouts spécialement conçus pour s'adapter aisément à l'intérieur du manchon de carton, et permettre ensuite de manipuler le rouleau autour du produit en en déroulant et étirant la pellicule avec facilité et précision.
  • L'embout selon l'invention est de préférence venu de moulage en une seule pièce de matière, plastique, et présente une portion interne et une portion externe, la première destinée à être introduite élastiquement à l'intérieur du manchon en carton et à lui servir de pivot, l'autre destinée à être prise dans chaque main par l'opérateur.
  • La portion interne est en forme de « tulipe •, et se présente sous forme de deux troncs de cône accolés par leur grande base, leur jonction ayant un diamètre légèrement supérieur à celui du manchon, et évidés le long de plusieurs génératrices de manière à pouvoir être comprimés élastiquement vers l'intérieur.
  • La portion externe consiste en une couronne circulaire délimitant le plus effilé desdits troncs de cône et ayant un diamètre légèrement supérieur à celui du manchon, cette couronne se raccordant à un disque de manipulation par une zone creuse évasée vers l'extérieur.
  • Le dessin annexé permettra de mieux comprendre l'invention. Sur ce dessin :
    • - la figure 1 est une vue en perspective du dispositif selon l'invention et,
    • - la figure 2 est une coupe axiale d'un rouleau de pellicule plastique équipé d'un couple de ces dispositifs.
  • Le dispositif selon l'invention se compose d'une portion dite interne 1, ayant la forme des deux troncs de cône 1 et 2 accolés par leurs grandes bases le long d'une ligne 3, et découpés par des fentes 4. Au repos, le diamètre D, du dispositif est légèrement supérieur au diamètre interne D2 du manchon 5 sur lequel est enroulée la pellicule plastique 6.
  • La petite base du tronc de cône le plus effilé est fermée par une couronne circulaire 7 dont le diamètre est supérieur au diamètre externe D3 du manchon 5.
  • Un disque de manipulation 8 est raccordé à la couronne 7 par un évasement 9.
  • L'utilisation de ce dispositif fait appel aux propriétés physiques du matériau dont il est fait.
  • Grâce à son élasticité, la tulipe formée par les pétales définis dans les troncs de cônes 1 et 2 par les fentes 4 peut se comprimer légèrement vers l'intérieur quand on enfonce le dispositif dans le manchon 5. Son introduction est encore facilitée par le fait que la petite base du cône 2 a un diamètre inférieur à D,. Une fois enfoncé jusqu'à ce que la couronne 7 rencontre l'extrémité du manchon 5, le dispositif est au contact élastique de l'intérieur du manchon le long de la ligne 3, et si la longueur du cône 1 est suffisante, cette ligne 3 est située suffisamment loin à l'intérieur du manchon pour constituer un appui stable pour le dispositif. Compte-tenu également de la nature du matériau du dispositif, le manchon glisse aisément le long de la ligne 3, ce qui permet, en utilisant un dispositif à chaque extrémité du manchon, de faire tourner le manchon autour de l'axe XX' en le maintenant par les disques 8-8' qui demeurent fixes en rotation.
  • Lesdits disques 8-8' permettant au surplus une bonne prise, l'opérateur peut aisément manipuler le rouleau de pellicule, en la déroulant par simple déplacement autour du produit à emballer, le rouleau tournant de lui-même autour de l'axe XX'.
  • Une condition de bon fonctionnement de ce dispositif est le degré suffisant de pénétration dans le manchon pour assurer un appui suffisant autour de la ligne 3. Dans la pratique, pour un rouleau de 50 cm de largeur, un enfoncement de la ligne 3, donc une distance de la ligne 3 à la couronne 7 d'environ 5 cm est satisfaisant.

Claims (4)

1. Dispositif pour la manipulation des rouleaux de matériaux en feuille, notamment de pellicule plastique d'emballage, caractérisé en ce qu'il se compose d'une portion interne formée de deux troncs de cônes (1, 2) accolés par leur grande base (3), et dans laquelle sont pratiqués des fentes (4) le long de plusieurs génératrices, et d'une portion externe formée d'une couronne de butée (7) fermant la petite base du cône le plus effilé, et d'un disque de manipulation (8) raccordé à cette couronne par une portion évasée (9).
2. Dispositif selon la revendication 1 caractérisé en ce que, au repos, le diamètre de la zone d'accolement des deux troncs de cônes est légèrement supérieur au diamètre interne du manchon (5) sur lequel est enroulée la pellicule.
3. Dispositif selon la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que le diamètre de ladite couronne (7) est supérieur au diamètre extérieur dudit manchon (5).
4. Dispositif selon les revendications 2 et 3, caractérisé en ce que la distance de la ligne d'accolement des deux troncs de cône à ladite couronne est au moins de l'ordre du 1/10 de la longueur du manchon.
