The present invention now provides another type of capsule which also guarantees the inviolability and the tightness of the mouth of a gas cylinder.
The capsule according to the invention has the advantage of being produced in a single piece, in one piece, and on the one hand constituting a true witness which guarantees the conservation of the bottle in its original state, and on the other hand, an effective shutter against the risk of accidental leaks.
Another object of the invention is to provide a capsule which achieves two levels of tightness; a permanent primary seal resulting from the placing of the capsule on the mouth and an automatic secondary seal in the event of accidental opening of the valve; this second seal reinforcing and completing the primary seal.
The invention also aims to produce a capsule which has two sealing stages in order to be able to adapt to different types of gas bottle mouths and in particular to mouths with an orifice provided either with a cylindrical seal or with a ball valve which regulates the operating pressure.
- - une jupe périphérique qui présente des saillants dirigés vers l'intérieur et destinés à coopérer avec le filetage mâle de la bouche;
- - A peripheral skirt which has projecting inwards directed and intended to cooperate with the male thread of the mouth;
- - a bottom bordering the skirt and
- - A central projection starting from the bottom, which penetrates inside the orifice of the mouth and which comprises a cylindrical part capable of forcing into a bore located inside said orifice; this capsule is made of an elastically deformable plastic and the projection has a sealing stage consisting of a sole disposed on the inner wall of the bottom and extended by a first cylindrical part; said capsule being characterized in that the central projection comprises a second sealing stage constituted by a second cylindrical part ending in a spherical zone, and which extends, with a smaller diameter, the first cylindrical part; these two sealing stages being capable of cooperating respectively with a mouth, the orifice of which is provided either with a seal or with a pressure regulation device.
According to one embodiment of the invention, a portion of the skirt constitutes, between two thinnings along generatrices, a tongue extending, beyond the skirt by a tearing ring arranged in a plane substantially inclined relative to said tongue , said ring allowing the capsule to be released from the mouth.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the tongue is extended, beyond the skirt by a tab arranged in a parallel plane and slightly offset towards the outside, relative to the tongue.
According to another embodiment of the invention, a buttress is arranged between the tongue and the tab, to increase the stiffness of said tab relative to said tongue.
Still according to the invention, the deformability of the capsule material is such that its removal from the mouth of the bottle by simple axial displacement is practically impossible without visible deterioration of said capsule.
According to another arrangement of the invention, the removal of the capsule by rotation is also made impossible without visible deterioration by means of a tab which extends beyond the skirt and in a plane tangential to the latter; said tab constitutes the extension of a second tearing tab diametrically opposite to the first tab provided with the grip ring.
In the present invention, the central projection has an axial cavity open on the inside of the orifice; this cavity extends over the entire length of the projection and the cylindrical wall of the latter is such that, when the cavity becomes subjected to the internal pressure of the bottle, this results in a radial expansion of said cylindrical wall sufficient to cause an increase corresponding sealing.
- FIG. 1 is a section of the capsule according to the invention,
- FIGS. 2 and 3 show, in section, a mouth provided with a capsule according to two types of orifice,
- - Figure 4 is a side view of a capsule positioned on a gas bottle mouth, showing, by half the two sides of the capsule.
The capsule shown in FIG. 1 is first of all made up of a cylindrical skirt 1 and a
The capsule is made in one piece, in an elastically deformable plastic material so that, on the one hand, it can be put in place by forced fitting of the protruding parts of the skirt 1 onto the male thread of the
Figure 2 shows, in section, a capsule according to the invention arranged by forced fitting on the
In the same way, the tear-off
