Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein elektrophotogra­ phisches Aufzeichnungsmaterial, bestehend aus einem elek­ trisch leitenden Schichtträger, gegebenenfalls einer isolie­ renden Zwischenschicht und einer photoleitfähigen Doppel­ schicht aus einer Ladungen erzeugenden und einer Ladun­ gen transportierenden Schicht mit einem Pyrimido-­ [5′,4′:5,6]-pyrido-[1,2-a]benzimidazol-Derivat als Transport­ verbindung, Bindemittel und Farbstoffen oder Pigmenten, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Transportverbindung eine Struktur nach der allgemeinen Formel I besitzt, worin R₁ und R₂ gleich oder verschieden sind und Wasser­ stoff oder eine R₃,R₄N-Gruppe, R₃ und R₄ gleich oder verschieden sind und (C₁ bis C₄)-Alkyl, Hydroxy-(C₁ bis ₄)-alkyl, gegebenenfalls (C₁ bis ₄)-alkylsubstituiertes Phenyl oder Benzyl oder zusammen mit den N-Atomen, an das sie gebunden sind, eine Imidazolyl- oder Triazolyl-Gruppe und R₅ eine Benzthiazol-, Benzoxazol-, Benzimidazol- oder eine Cyano-Gruppe bedeuten. Mit der Transportverbindung ist es möglich, das Aufzeichnungs-material bei elektrostatischer Aufladung unterschiedlicher Polarität in verschiedenen Wel­ lenlängenbereichen photoempfindlich einzustellen. The present invention relates to an electrophotographic recording material consisting of an electrically conductive layer support, optionally an insulating intermediate layer and a photoconductive double layer of a charge-generating and a charge-transporting layer with a pyrimido [5 ', 4': 5, 6] -pyrido- [1,2-a] benzimidazole derivative as a transport compound, binder and dyes or pigments, characterized in that the transport compound has a structure of the general formula I, wherein R₁ and R₂ are the same or different and hydrogen or an R₃, R₄N group, R₃ and R₄ are the same or different and (C₁ to C₄) alkyl, hydroxy (C₁ to ₄) alkyl, optionally (C₁ to ₄ ) -alkyl substituted phenyl or benzyl or together with the N atoms to which they are attached, an imidazolyl or triazolyl group and R₅ is a benzothiazole, benzoxazole, benzimidazole or a cyano group. With the transport connection, it is possible to set the recording material photosensitively in the case of electrostatic charging of different polarities in different wavelength ranges.
