Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a slot machine with at least one display device, in which an electromechanical drive element moves symbol carrier behind a window visible to the player in cyclical repetition in order to display at least one symbol as a result of the game when randomly stopped, which may represent a result of the game in combination with other symbols.
A slot machine of the type mentioned is known from DE-A1-29 11 643. The display device contains symbol-carrying rotating bodies in the form of rollers or disks. Since there is only a limited space available for the installation of the display device, only a limited number of symbols can be displayed on the circumference or on the front of the circulating body, because a minimum size of the symbols must be observed for reading.
Furthermore, from DE-A1-30 21 731 a display device for a slot machine is known, in which symbols are printed on flexible circumferential strips. The disadvantage of this display device is that the strips wear out and break quickly.
Furthermore, from GB-A-294 329 a game and display device is known which consists of a folding board carousel, the folding boards of which are the symbol carriers. The folding panels are pivotally mounted on a hub that can be rotated by hand in order to fold over from a front display position to a rear display position when a stop spring passes. This known display device is designed so that it in its Operating position, the folding panels located in the display position can each assume a defined position. To change the display, in addition to the force required to advance, the gravity of the folding panels must also be effective in such a way that the latter acts on a center of gravity which lies in front of the folding panel pivot axis. For this purpose, a structurally specified operating position must be strictly observed.
The invention has for its object to provide a slot machine of the type mentioned, the display device on the one hand shows a large number of symbols easily readable with a small construction volume and on the other hand works safely both in the vertical and in the horizontal operating position.
The object is achieved in that the display device has a folding panel carousel, the folding panels of which are the symbol carriers which are pivotally mounted on a hub which can be rotated in one direction only by the drive member, in order to pass from a front-side display position into one each when a nose is passed Fold back display position, that the nose is provided with a hole through which an air stream emanating from a nozzle is directed onto the folding folding panel, and that a mounting block is provided for receiving all the organs of the display device.
Advantageous refinements of the slot machine according to the invention can be found in the subclaims.

For the display device shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and designated overall by 1 , a mounting block 2 is made as a one-piece injection molded part made of plastic, which can also be seen in perspective on the left in FIG. 3. The mounting block 2 with its individual formations and the parts it carries essentially does not extend beyond a cuboid cut obliquely at the front, so that a plurality of
The assembly block 2 is formed on its left side as a
The mounting block 2 is formed on its right side as a magazine wall 5 , which protrudes perpendicularly from the walls and whose circular cross-sectional shape can be seen in FIG. 1. Rear molded beads 6 stiffen the magazine wall 5 , which merges towards the front at one end (top in FIG. 1) into a nose 7 and at its other (lower) end runs out via a
The nose 7 is provided with a
The
From the left side of the mounting block 2 , a
From the right side of the mounting block 2 , a
A second bearing
The
When passing the tip of the nose 38 , the retaining force of the nose 7 disappears and the
The rear display position is stable due to gravity, both the upright operating position according to FIGS. 1-4 and the horizontal operating position according to FIG. 5 being possible.
The pivoting of the
The
The
It should be noted that, instead of the stepping
