Abstract

1. Method for the guiding and straightening of a continuously cast billet in the straightening and outlet region of a curved continuous casting plant, wherein rollers arranged to lie one opposite the other are held at a spacing corresponding to the casting format by a spring force against the ferrostatic pressure of the continuously cast billet, characterised thereby, that a continuously cast billet region of increased strength is tracked in its travel and, on its passage between the rollers lying one opposite the other, the respective spring force is reduced by a smaller additional force.
