Die sich ergebende Höhendifferenz bewirkt, dass das Farbband einen schrägen Weg ausserhalb des Farbbandgehäuses zwischen ersten und zweiten in Entfernung voneinanderliegenden Schlitzen durchläuft. Hierbei wird unterstellt, dass ein schräger Weg des Farbbandes quer über eine Druckstelle die maximale Ausnutzung der Farbbandoberfläche während des Druckens gestattet und den Druckvorgang vereinfacht. Durch die notwendige Höhendifferenz innerhalb der Farbbandkassette ist letztere relativ kompliziert ausgebildet.The ribbon device described at the outset is known from US-A-4350451. Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, die beim schrägen Führen des Farbbandes auftretenden Schwierigkeiten bzw. Die gestellte Aufgabe wird bei einer eingangs bezeichneten Farbbandeinrichtung erfindungsgemäss dadurch gelöst, dass zur Schrägführung des Farbbandes die Farbbandkassette einendig angehoben und anderendig abgesenkt zur horizontalen Druckzeile gelagert ist. Diese Anordnung vermeidet eine Überbelastung eines Farbband-Breitenabschnittes durch Druckelemente oder Typenabdrucke und versetzt solche Abdrucke von aufeinanderfolgenden Druckpunkten oder Typenabdrukken in Druckzeilenrichtung auf sämtliche Abschnitte der Farbbandbreite.
