Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cartridge type ejector according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a cartridge type ejector is known from FR-A-2 305 365.
  • the content of the cartridge is pressed out by a portion movable with respect to the case for the cartridge and by pressing bellows provided on the cartridge and by pressing bellows provided on the cartridge.
  • No cap is provided for closing the case or the cartridge after use.
  • DE-C-3 044 223 discloses a dispenser for liquid adhesives, which is provided with a cap in which a pin is arranged for piercing the end of the dispenser and for closing the open end after use.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide an economically advantageous cartridge type ejector in which a container case for a cartridge can be used repeatedly, adhesion or hardening of a content at the vent after use of the content can be prevented and the content can be used without any waste.
  • Still another object of the present invention is to provide a cartridge type ejector which has a simple structure and can be easily handled by any person.
  • a case 1 is composed of a plastic material and has a cylindrical shape, and the case 1 has an end cap 2 dismountably attached to the rear end thereof.
  • a cartridge 3 is inserted into the case 1 after taking off the end cap 2 so that the top end of the cartridge 3 is projected from the case 1.
  • An exposure portion 4 for exposing the cartridge 3 is formed on one or two parts in the front portion of the case 1. 1
  • this exposure portion 4 be optionally opened and closed.
  • a cylindrical slide cover 5 slidable along the case 1 is fitted on the case 1.
  • provision of a semi-cylindrical slide cover 6 as shown in Fig. 3A is sufficient.
  • a guide lip 7 is projected on the side wall of the case 1 so that the slide cover 6 is moved along this guide lip 7.
  • a rotary cover 8 having an opening is rotated to open and close the exposure portion 4.
  • a cap 9 is fixed to the top end portion of the case 1 by fitting or screwing.
  • a pin 10 for piercing the top end of the cartridge 3 is arranged in the cap 9.
  • the pin 10 may be directly fixed to the interior of the cap 9 or fixed to a pin member 11 capable of advancing in the cap 9. It is preferred that a scraper plate 12 having a fine hole for insertion of the pin 10 at the center and a supporting plate 13 having a through hole for insertion of the top end portion of the cartridge 3 at the center be arranged within the cap 9.
  • the scraper plate 12 is arranged, by drawing out the pin 10 from the scraper plate 12, the solid substance adhering to the pin 10 can be scraped out when the top end of the cartridge 3 is holed. If the supporting plate 13 is arranged, the top end of the cartridge 3 can be guided assuredly to the pin point. Ordinarily, a window 14 for seeing the top end portion of the cartridge 3 is formed on the cap 9, whereby the holing operation by the pin 10 can be performed assuredly and easily. Moreover, there may be adopted a modification in which the cap 9 is prolonged so that the cap 9 covers the case 1 and the exposure portion 4 is opened and closed by the cap 9 (see Figs. 4 and 5).
  • the cap 9 is integrated with the case and especial provision of the case is omitted (see Fig. 6)
  • the entire cartridge 3 is thick and rigid, and only the thickness of a pressing portion 15 is reduced.
  • Fig. 8 shows a modification of the cartridge 3, in which a ridge portion 16 is formed on the side face and this ridge portion 16 is depressed when the content is ejected.
  • Fig. 9 shows an embodiment using a cartridge 3 provided with a bellows portion 17, in which the case 1 comprises two portions which are fitted to each other.
  • a piston 18 is contained in the rear portion of the case 1 so that the piston 18 can be moved back and forth. It is preferred that a stopper 19 be arranged on the rear end of the case 1 to prevent fall-out of the piston 18.
  • a finger peg 20 may be formed according to need. Also in an embodiment shown in Fig. 10, a cartridge 3 having a bellows portion 17 is used. In this embodiment, a projection 21 is formed on the inner face of the case 1 and the bellows portion 17 is hung and fixed onto this projection 21. The cap 9 is put on the case 1.
  • the pin member 11 is advanced in the cap 9, the pin 10 reaches the top end of the cartridge 3 and gradually thrusts against the top end of the cartridge 3 to form a hole at the top end of the cartridge 3.
  • the cap 9 is taken off from the case 1 and the slide cover 5 is retreated to expose the exposure portion 4.
  • the thumb and forefinger are placed on the exposure portion 4 and the case 1 is held in such a manner as a pen is held by the fingers, and the exposure portion 4 is pressed to eject the content.
  • the cap 9 is put on the case 1 and the top end of the pin 10 is inserted into the cartridge 3.
  • the content is prevented from being solidified in the vicinity of the top end vent of the cartridge 3 and clogging the content, and when the content is used again, the content is immediately ejected. Furthermore, if the exposure portion 4 is closed by moving the slide cover 5 after using, unintentional pressing of the exposure portion 4 and subsequent overflowing of the content can be prevented. In the embodiment illustrated in Figs. 4 and 5, the operation is carried out in the same manner as described above. When cartridge 3 as shown in Figs. 7A and 7B are used, the thin pressing portion 15 is pressed, and in the case of the cartridge 3 shown in Fig. 8, the ridge portion 16 is depressed. In the embodiment shown in Fig.
  • the finger is placed on the finger peg 20 and the case 1 is held in the hand, and the piston 18 is pressed by the palm.
  • the case 1 is held in the hand and the finger tip is placed on the head face 22 of the cartridge 3 and pulled back.
