Description

The present invention relates to a mechanical application specially studied for working in a marine environment. Autonomous semi-submerged station, designed from materials of very high resistance to marine erosion: stainless steel and unbreakable transparent plastic. Directly interests marinas.

The state of the prior art bringing out the problem provides for the cleaning of hulls from open air mechanisms or from immersion mechanisms fixed on ships. For the latter, cleaning is done by rotary brushing, not visual, in a vertical direction only.

The present invention consists of a device for cleaning immersion of the hulls of pleasure vessels.

The traditional method consists, for cleaning, of taking the hull out of the water and subjecting it, in fact, to various compressions which are harmful to the whole of the pleasure unit.

By this traditional process, the paint under waterline must be redone since having taken the air, it loses all its anti-fouling properties.

The state of the art can be defined by patent GB-A-1 371 017. This patent describes a floating machine which comprises at the level of the super structures a control and piloting cabin which makes it possible to maneuver arms and a mechanism for cleaning. Said arms are articulated and allow cleaning of the submerged parts of a hull or the like from said control cabin which is above the water level on the floating craft or barge.

The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. It ensures perfect cleaning, under visual surveillance, of all surfaces to be treated in immersion, by pressure jets of fresh or salt water, from two rigid or telescopic lances mounted on sealed ball joints, through a cabin mobile, semi-immersed in transparent, unbreakable plastic. The displacement of the cabin is carried out by means of a pulley, in a longitudinal direction by means of grooved wheels, trapped in rails themselves fixed to a pontoon preferably made of reinforced concrete.

This movement can also be done according to the same principle on the vertical part of a platform.

As for the floating pontoon, it is immobilized, in fairground mooring, by ballast operated by winches. It is arranged so that a place for the autonomous pump is provided, as well as a hold or a chest and a refuge for the operators. In any case, it must be fitted with a high pressure safety valve at the outlet of the pump. Short cabin protection along the length of the pontoon or quay, from bolted or cemented supports.

On the opposite side of the pontoon, opposite the side supporting the cabin, a fixing is provided for the pump supply pipe; this pipe will itself be provided with two stainless steel filters at its end, in the case of fairground mooring.

The device according to the invention being valid over long lengths, the volumetric dimensions and occupied surfaces will depend on demand.

The device comprises a mobile, transparent cabin made of unbreakable plastic.

On the front wall, two orifices in which are mounted two sealed ball joints 1, crossed by two rigid or telescopic water pressure lances 2.

These pressure lances are connected, by flexible pipes and reinforced with a tee or Y bypass 3 fixed on the side wall.

Chaque rotule 1 est prisionnière de deux disques à collerettes 30, fixés de part et d'autre sur la paroi, par des boulons 31.Each ball joint 1 is trapped by two flanged discs 30, fixed on either side on the wall, by bolts 31.

Entre rotule et collerettes, l'étanchéïté est assurée par deux joints, percés (32).Between ball joint and flanges, the seal is ensured by two seals, drilled (32).

In each ball joint 1, when the lance passes, two internal grooves serve as housing 33 for two O-rings.

These O-rings allow the lances to move in or out and seal the cabin.

Figure 4 and Figure 5 show the design of the ball joint, discussed above.

The flexible and reinforced conduits 4, supplying the two pressure lances 2, are crimped to the two ends of a tee or Y 3 bypass connected itself to another flexible and reinforced conduit 7, fixed on the side wall and on which are placed, at breast height, a high pressure valve 34 and about twenty centimeters above, a pressure gauge 35.

La figure 6 représente l'alimentation ci-dessus exposée.Figure 6 shows the above exposed power supply.

To ensure the advancement or the retraction of the cabin, a steering wheel 6 provided with a crank generates, by its rotary movement, the drive of a pinion 8 welded to a sleeve 9 playing on ball bearings fitted on a fixed axis itself welded to a disc 10 bolted to the wall.

In Figure 3 is shown the mobility mechanism which results from the force exerted on the crank of the steering wheel 6 mentioned above. It breaks down as follows:
  • a chain 13 is driven by the rotation of the crank pinion 8, itself driven by the manual pressure exerted on the crank of the steering wheel 6.
  • - this chain 13 causes by its movements a pinion of a pulley axis 12 of diameter greater than the crank pinion 8.
  • - the pulley axis 17 passes through the rear wall 11 by a bolted cap 14 having two internal grooves 15 in which two O-rings are placed, as well as a hole intended for the installation of a tecalemit lubricator 16 After passing through the wall 11 through the cap 14, the pulley axis 17 passes through a grooved wheel 18 free in its rotation and placed between two stops 19, fixed by means of locking screws. The pulley axis 17 has, at its end, a shoulder reducing its diameter and compensates for this reduction by a welded male stop, which serves as guide and body for a pulley with three external grooves 20. This pulley 20 discovers, in its axis hole, a female notch which marries with the welded stop of the pulley axis 17, when the pulley is slid in this axis.

The pulley axis 17 is internally threaded on its end to the dimension of the flange bolt, with an international pitch, which will serve as a stop for the entire pulley mechanism.
  • the free-grooved wheel 18, crossed by the pulley axis 17, rolls on a tube 21 welded to lugs 22 which are fixed in the pontoon, by sealing or bolting,
  • - The tubing 21 is trapped by the establishment of a second free groove wheel 23 which rotates on a fixed axis 25 welded to a disc bolted in the wall. This grooved wheel 23 is placed like the previous one, between two stops 24.

The axle 25 is internally tapped on its end to the dimension of the flange bolt, with an international pitch, which will serve as a stop for the entire mechanism of the wheel 23.
  • - This grooved wheel 23 rolls on a second tube 26 welded to lugs 27 which are fixed to the pontoon by sealing or bolting.
  • - On this second tube 26 is fitted a third free-grooved wheel 28 fixed on the wall according to the same principle as the grooved wheel 23. The installation of this grooved wheel 28 allows the cabin to be completely attached to the pontoon, while being mobile.

Sur les figures 7 et 8, la cabine comporte à sa base, un lest 36 destiné à la stabiliser.c) On the base of the cabin a stabilization system. In FIGS. 7 and 8, the cabin comprises at its base, a ballast 36 intended to stabilize it.

Ce lest repose précisément sur ce plancher 38 supporté par des cornières boulonnées sur les parois.- This ballast consists of lead or lead filings passed through the hatch 37 of a floor located above another floor 38. This ballast rests precisely on this floor 38 supported by angles bolted to the walls.

A vacuum appears between the floor 38 ballast support and the floor 39 bottom of the cabin.

d) Forme spécifique de la cabine.d) Specific shape of the cabin.

  • - La cabine comporte, à partir du niveau de la mer, une paroi 40 inclinée à 80 degrés environ, vers l'extérieur, jusqu'au plancher 39.- The cabin has, from sea level, a wall 40 inclined at about 80 degrees, outwards, to the floor 39.
  • -la cabine se trouve à ciel ouvert, elle est ceinturée sur la partie supérieure par des profilés soutenant des plaques de 20 centimètres environ, qui partent sur l'extérieur en oblique.-the cabin is open to the sky, it is surrounded on the upper part by profiles supporting plates of approximately 20 cm, which go obliquely outwards.

  • - l'ensemble de la cabine est protégé dans ses mouvements par une protection qui, partant de la saillie des supports cimentés ou boulonnés sur les flancs du ponton, court sur la longueur de ce ponton ou du quai si l'installation se fait en cet endroit.- the entire cabin is protected in its movements by a protection which, starting from the projection of the cemented or bolted supports on the sides of the pontoon, runs along the length of this pontoon or of the quay if the installation is done in this place.

Nonexistent to date, this station is undoubtedly possible to be sold on a national and international level. The ratio of the service rendered, compared to the traditional procedures, is one to three in the expense of consumer.

The station's operating report is directly linked to the obligation that boaters have to unload hulls at least once a year. The excessive fuel consumption in the case of a dirty hull, the major advantage of a good glide for sailboats performing or not racing make the station, the essential complement to pleasure.
