  • This invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing a novel pack of smoking articles, such as a packet of cigarettes.
  • Smoking articles such as cigarettes are produced in a great many types. For example, different tobaccos having characteristic flavours, such as Turkish and Virginia are used to produce cigarettes having the characteristic flavour of the tobacco. Further, cigarettes of differing strength of flavour, total particulate matter delivery and nicotine delivery are made, as well as filter tipped and plain cigarettes. Many different types of filter tips are available as are cigarettes containing flavourants such as menthol.
  • a smoker may obtain cigarettes of a particular type only by purchasing a pack containing that type of cigarettes alone.

Claims (4)

1. Vorrichtung zum Herstellen von Verpackungen von Rauchwaren, die zwei unterschiedliche Gruppen von Rauchwaren aufweisen, wobei jede Gruppe nur eine Sorte einer Rauchware enthält, wobei die Vorrichtung aufweist: einen trichterförmigen Behälter (11), der in wenigstens zwei gesonderte und abgeteilte Ausgaberäume (13, 15) für die Rauchwaren unterteilt ist, Einrichtungen, welche separat die von jedem abgeteilten Ausgaberaum abgegebenen Rauchwaren einwickeln, un Einrichtungen zum Verpacken der eingewickelten Rauchwaren aus mehr als einem abgeteilten Ausgaberaum in ein und derselben Verpackung.
2. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, die zwei abgeteilte Ausgaberäume aufweist, die jeweils gesondert mit Einrichtungen (23, 25) zum Zuführen einer Rauchwaresorte zu denselben versehen sind.
3. Vorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, bei der jeder abgeteilte Ausgaberaum mit einer Rütteleinrichtung (31) versehen ist.
4. Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Packung von Rauchwaren, die zwei unterschiedliche Gruppen von Rauchwaren aufweisen, wobei jede Gruppe nur Rauchwaren einer Sorte enthalt, wobei das Verfahren aufweist: Bereithalten der Rauchwaren zweier Sorten in zwei gesonderten Teilen, wobei jeder Teil Rauchwaren nur einer Sorte enthält, Abziehen einer eine vorbestimmte Anzahl von Rauchwaren enthaltenden Gruppe von jedem Teil der Rauchwaren, separates Einwickeln jeder Rauchwarengruppe in innere Umschläge, und Verpacken der eingewickelten Gruppen von Rauchwaren zusammen in einem äußeren Umschlag.
