Abstract

1. Fire-protective door or a similar fire-resistant closure for openings in buildings comprising at least one closing blade (1) and a frame (2), preferably of sheet metal, enclosing the blade so as to leave a gap (13) in the closing position, a sealing strip (3) in the form of a thin sheet metal strip (4) being arranged in this gap, said sheet metal strip (4) being provided either on the blade (1) or the frame (2) and being moved in the case of fire under the influence of heat transversely to the plane of the gap (13) to abut the opposite gap bordering of the frame (2) and/or blade (1), thereby closing the gap (13), said metal strip (4) further having a formed recess (7) extending parallel to and at a distance from its abutting portion, to which recess a sealing strip (9) - particularly of elastic material like rubber - is fixed through which the closing blade (1) and frame (2) are brought into sealing abutment in the course of closing the door during normal operation, the abutting portion of the sheet metal strip (4) being freely accessible exposed to radiation and/or flowing heat in the case of fire from the one closing outside, characterized in that the metal strip (4) is at least locally formed as bimetal strip, that the metal strip regarded as a whole has approximately the cross sectional shape of a right angle with two angle legs (5, 6), that the sealing strip (9) extends approximately in the transitional area between the legs (5, 6), and that both legs (5, 6) are formed so as to extend beyond the sealing strip (9) towards the respective neighbouring outside of the closing blade (1) or frame (2).
