Definitions
- the invention relates to a coil former made of insulating material with openings provided in a flange part for the pluggable fastening of metallic connection elements for winding ends.
- Coils for relays or other switching devices are usually wound with automatic machines and then inserted as a whole into the corresponding device.
- connection pins are already fixed in the coil former by injecting or plugging in before winding, the winding ends can be wound onto the connection pins directly by the automatic winding machine and soldered to them in a subsequent operation.
- the object of the invention is to design a coil former in such a way that the winding ends can be mechanically wound onto auxiliary support points in a simple manner and then connected to subsequently inserted metal connecting elements by simple soldering.
- this object is achieved on a bobbin of the type mentioned at the outset in that retaining pins are formed on at least two opposite edge regions of an opening, which are each at least as wide as the part of a connecting element which can be inserted between them through the opening.
- two breakpoints for a connecting element between them form a winding base, on which a winding end can be wound so that a connecting element is subsequently inserted between the holding pin or in the loop of the winding end and with the winding end can be soldered.
- the holding pins either have a shoulder towards their free end or stand together on a stepped surface of the coil body. In this case it is ensured that the winding end is easily accessible for the soldering tool.
- the connecting element is expediently twisted with its free end between the two holding pins. In this case, the width of the holding pins should correspond to the twisted and thus transverse end of the connecting element.
- the connecting element can also be fixed to the coil body by a bent tab.
- FIGS. 1 and 2 show a coil former according to the invention in two views
- FIG. 3 to 5 in detail each different embodiments of retaining pins with intermediate connecting element and wound winding end.
- the coil body 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a coil tube 2 for receiving a winding and two flanges 3 and 4.
- An extension 5 is formed on the coil flange 4, which has openings 6 for receiving sheet metal connecting elements, not shown here.
- Holding pins 7 are formed on both sides of each opening 6, each of which is wider than the opening 6, so that a winding end wound over both holding pins 7 does not hinder the insertion of a connecting element.
- the holding pins each have a shoulder 8, so that the winding end wound on the free end 7a cannot slide down and thus remains easily accessible for soldering.
- FIG. 3 shows a perspective view of a detail from the coil former shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the holding pins 7 arranged on the extension 5 of the bobbin already have a wound winding end 9 which is wound with several turns around the offset ends 7a of the holding pins 7.
- connection element 10 After winding the coil, a connection element 10 is inserted into the opening 6, so that its free end 10a lies between the holding pins 7. This free end 10a is twisted to fix the connection element. Thereafter, the electrical connection between the winding end 9 and the connecting element 10 can be made in a simple manner by soldering.
- FIG. 4 shows a somewhat modified embodiment compared to FIG. 3.
- two holding pins 17 are arranged on an elevated surface 18 of the coil body extension 5, so that the winding end 9 is prevented from slipping in this case as well.
- the connecting element 10 is inserted and twisted in the same way as before.
- FIG. 5 A further modification is shown in FIG. 5.
- Two retaining pins 27 are each shaped so that they surround the connecting element 30 inserted between them in a U-shape.
- This connecting element 30 is then soldered to the winding end 9 in the slot 31 provided on both sides.
- a paragraph 28 prevents this too The winding end slides down.
- this is provided in this embodiment with a lateral tab 32 which lies in a lateral slot 33 of a holding pin 27 and fixes the connecting element 30 on the coil body by lateral bending.

Description
The invention relates to a coil former made of insulating material with openings provided in a flange part for the pluggable fastening of metallic connection elements for winding ends.
Coils for relays or other switching devices are usually wound with automatic machines and then inserted as a whole into the corresponding device. Insofar as connection pins are already fixed in the coil former by injecting or plugging in before winding, the winding ends can be wound onto the connection pins directly by the automatic winding machine and soldered to them in a subsequent operation.
In many cases, however, it is not possible for production-related reasons to attach the coil connection elements to the coil former before winding, for example if larger sheet metal connection elements are involved. In this case, an auxiliary support point is required for the mechanized winding of the coil ends, which can either be molded onto the insulating material of the coil body or anchored in the form of a wire in this. In these cases, it is usually labor intensive to subsequently connect the winding ends or the connecting wires carrying them to inserted sheet metal connecting parts.
The object of the invention is to design a coil former in such a way that the winding ends can be mechanically wound onto auxiliary support points in a simple manner and then connected to subsequently inserted metal connecting elements by simple soldering.
According to the invention, this object is achieved on a bobbin of the type mentioned at the outset in that retaining pins are formed on at least two opposite edge regions of an opening, which are each at least as wide as the part of a connecting element which can be inserted between them through the opening.
In the bobbin according to the invention, two breakpoints for a connecting element between them form a winding base, on which a winding end can be wound so that a connecting element is subsequently inserted between the holding pin or in the loop of the winding end and with the winding end can be soldered. It is expedient that the holding pins either have a shoulder towards their free end or stand together on a stepped surface of the coil body. In this case it is ensured that the winding end is easily accessible for the soldering tool. The connecting element is expediently twisted with its free end between the two holding pins. In this case, the width of the holding pins should correspond to the twisted and thus transverse end of the connecting element. However, the connecting element can also be fixed to the coil body by a bent tab.
Es zeigenThe invention is explained in the following: Examples of management based on the drawing. Show it

The coil body 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 has a coil tube 2 for receiving a winding and two
After winding the coil, a
Here, two holding pins 17 are arranged on an elevated
A further modification is shown in FIG. 5.
