Abstract

The work bench makes it possible to grip securely small-sized or large-sized workpiece slabs to be engraved in one plane and at the same time to work securely in particularly relatively small, elongated workpieces at different heights. According to the invention, the slab-like workpieces are fixed directly on the bench top (3) between a front gripping jaw (6) and a displaceable stop (7). In contrast, elongated, relatively small workpieces to be worked at a different height are fastened on a height-adjustable figure stand placed separately against one side of the bench top, and worked there.
