Abstract

1. A chair (50.1 - 50.5) with at least a leg frame (51), seat (52) and back (53), wherein the legs (65) are inclined for stacking and the seat (52) and back (53) are secured by connecting means to the leg frame (51), the seat width (57) corresponds approximately to the leg frame external width (58), the seat (52) its cut away at the corner regions (52.1, 52.2, 52.3, 52.4) in a manner corresponding to the position and size of the legs (65) and the legs (65), which lie in the corner regions (52.1, 52.2, 52.3, 52.4) of the seat (52) and which are attached below the said seat and extend almost parallel to the vertical central plane (54), consist of metal profile and, in order to be stackable, have recesses in their external faces, such that, when stacked, the upper leg engages in the lower leg, characterized in that the metal profile of the slender legs (65) has a dumb-bell-shaped cross-section (Fig. 8-11), such that when the chairs are stacked, the thickening (72) of the dumb-bell-shaped cross-section of the upper leg (65) engages in the recess (73) of the dumb-bell-shaped cross-section of the lower leg (65).
