Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sailing device, in particular a surfboard, the sail of which is held by a mast arranged movably at the free end of a support rod and in which the support rod is pivotally and rotatably connected to the sliding body (PCT patent application WO 82/03 053, priority 11.03. 1981, FR; published 16.09.82).
In a device of the aforementioned type, the mast and the support rod are rotatably connected to one another, as a result of which the sail is brought into different rotational positions with respect to the support rod and, by pivoting and rotating the support rod, can assume various inclinations towards the sliding body. A disadvantage of this device has been shown that the user has to hold the mast, sail and the support rod in the different positions permanently with great effort.
It is an object of the invention to increase the adjustability of the sail to the sliding body and to fix the sail in the positions.
According to the invention, this object has found a solution in that the mast is rotatably held on a pivot pin connected to the support rod on the support rod and can be ascertained by means of releasable locking means or cord pulls in the upright position and the pivoting and tilting positions. This ensures that when the mast is held transversely or obliquely to the water surface, sliding phases of the surfboard on the water surface are possible, while with parallel mounting of the mast parallel to the water surface, flight phases in the manner of a kite can take place over long distances directly. The mast to the support rod can be moved as desired by the hinge pin, but can be fixed in the working positions without any effort on the part of the user.
Finally, for simplified handling of the sailing device, provision is also made for the support rod to be fixed to the sliding body by means of releasable catches. A retaining clip, a ratchet drive or the like can serve as notches.
- FIG. 1 shows a side view of a surfboard with a mast fixed to the sliding body in the upright position,
- FIG. 2 shows a surfboard from FIG. 1 with the mast swung down, in perspective,
- Figure 3 enlarged a portion of the support rod and mast and
- Figure 4 enlarged a portion of the support rod and mast according to another training.
In the figures, 1 denotes the sliding body of a surfboard, on the upper side of which a
In Fig. 2 the sailing device is shown as an aircraft. For this purpose, the
In Fig. 4, the
