Abstract

1. A wood chopping machine (1) for small sized wood (2) with a rotor (17) comprising two disks (101), between which are arranged cutter carriers parallel to the rotor axis with cutters (71) parallel to the rotor axis, the cutters (71) interacting with a counter cutting edge arranged at the opening of a supply shaft (10) at the radial outer wall (9) of the housing (4) and the rotor (17) having between each two adjacent cutters (71) a radially outwardly open recess, in which there is adjustably arranged, for the purpose of adjustability of the chip length, a body (106) with a radially external, bent stop face (105) for the front end of the small-sized wood (2), characterized in that the recesses are closed off from each other in the area of the cutters (71) and in that the body (106) is articulated to a swivel shaft (108) parallel to the rotor axis as a swivel body, which swivel shaft (108) is located at the side of the cutter (71) leading in the direction of rotation (47) and in that in the recesses the space not occupied by the swivel body (106) at the side of the cutter (71) following in the direction of rotation forms a chamber (44) with a radially external opening (119) for receiving the chip, the end face (111) of the swivel body (106) facing away from the swivel shaft (108) representing the wall (118) of the chamber (44) which is at the front in the running direction.
