Definitions
- packaging strips preferably of so-called push-through packs, which consist of a film strand which consists of a bottom film web containing a well for receiving tablets dragees or the like and a cover film web which seals the wells and is connected to the bottom film web by sealing
- waste-free die cut which is carried out in such a way that the rear edge of a packaging strip corresponds to the front edge of the following packaging strip when the film webs are cut through. There is therefore no waste between the individual packaging strips.
- Another requirement that is placed on such packing strips is that the corners of the packing strips must be rounded. This is very important for the further processing of the packing strips, since otherwise difficulties arise when inserting the packing strips into folding boxes or the like. Furthermore, packs with non-rounded corners would pose a risk of injury both for the processor and in particular for the end user.
- JP-B2-55-45 360, Fig. 3 A device for waste-free punching out of packaging strips with rounded corners, all of which have the same radius, is known from JP-B2-55-45 360, Fig. 3. With this device, there is always a slight intent in the advance of the film webs, for example by changing the film during the run, as well as by film shrinkage, especially during machine downtime, so that it is not possible to make the die cut with the required accuracy to execute. The result is that the die cut for the front edge of a package strip does not lie exactly on the previously performed die cut of the previously punched package strip. This results in sharp, hook-shaped projections (JP-B2-55-45 360, Fig. 2) in the area of the round corners of a packing strip lying in the direction of movement, which, as would be the case with packing strips with non-rounded corners, lead to malfunctions Carry out further processing and pose a risk of injury.
- JP-B2-55-45 360, Fig. 2 A device for waste-free punching out
- JP-B2-55-45360, Fig. 4 also shows, when producing the packing strips, to proceed in such a way that the corners at the front in the conveying direction have a different radius than the corners at the rear in the conveying direction.
- This arrangement is intended to avoid a sharp projection which arises when the circular arcs intersect with different radii.
- packing strips which have rounded corners with different radii are not popular with the pharmaceutical industry since, apart from the uneven external appearance, they can cause difficulties in further processing, in particular when inserted into cartons.
- the object of the invention is therefore to provide a device for punching out packing strips which can be further processed without problems and which do not pose any risk of injury.
- FIG. 1 and 2 show packing strips 11 and 12, which arise in the conventional procedure when an offset to the punching film web is given in the feed direction.
- the packing strip 11 shown in FIG. 1 arises.
- a packing strip 12 with hook-like projections 13 is produced according to the known method, as is shown in FIG. 2.
- a packing strip 14 according to FIG. 3 is produced if, in addition to the feed offset, there is also a lateral offset of the film web.
- packing strips 15, 16 and 17 which have been produced under the same conditions as the packing strips 11, 12 and 14 shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 3, but with the device according to the invention. It can be seen that there are no annoying, more or less sharp projections. As can be seen from the packing strip 17 shown in FIG. 6, this is the case even when there is a double offset of the film webs - feed and lateral offset. In addition to the good external appearance of the packing strips 15, 16 and 17 shown in FIGS. 4, 5 and 6, these packing strips can be further processed without problems and do not pose any risk of injury to the further processors or end users.
- the punching tool 18 shown in cross section in FIG. 7 is used to produce the packing strips 15, 16 and 17.
- the punching line course of the cutting edge 19 of the punching tool 18 lying at the front in the feed direction of the film strand and extending transversely to the feed direction is chosen such that even with one Foil offset 20, as indicated in FIGS. 8 and 9, the front cutting edge 19 of the punch 18 cuts the front edge 21 of the packaging strip 22 to be punched out when the previously produced packaging strip is punched out in such a way that there are no sharp edges on this edge of the packaging strip 22 , as can be seen particularly clearly in FIG. As FIG.
- the cutting edge 19 of the punch 18 is formed in the area of a corner from two circular arches 23 and 24 and a straight line 25 tangent to these circular arches 23 and 24.
- the radius 26 of the circular arc 23 corresponds to the radius 27 of the circular arc 24. Since the center 32 of the circular arc 24 is offset from the center 33 of the circular arc 23 - seen in the direction of advance of the packing strip 22 - the tangent straight line 25 extends to the rest of the straight part of the Cutting edge 19 at an obtuse angle 29.
- the arrangement is such that the size of the radii 26 and 27 is adapted to the size of the radius 28 of the rounded corners 30 of the rear edge of the packing strips 22.
- all rounded corners 23, 30 of a packing strip have the same radii.

Description
When producing packaging strips, preferably of so-called push-through packs, which consist of a film strand which consists of a bottom film web containing a well for receiving tablets dragees or the like and a cover film web which seals the wells and is connected to the bottom film web by sealing, it is of great importance that the individual desired packing units are punched out in such a way that little or no waste is generated. One speaks here of waste-free die cut, which is carried out in such a way that the rear edge of a packaging strip corresponds to the front edge of the following packaging strip when the film webs are cut through. There is therefore no waste between the individual packaging strips. Another requirement that is placed on such packing strips is that the corners of the packing strips must be rounded. This is very important for the further processing of the packing strips, since otherwise difficulties arise when inserting the packing strips into folding boxes or the like. Furthermore, packs with non-rounded corners would pose a risk of injury both for the processor and in particular for the end user.
A device for waste-free punching out of packaging strips with rounded corners, all of which have the same radius, is known from JP-B2-55-45 360, Fig.
In order to avoid such sharp projections, JP-B2-55-45360, Fig. 4 also shows, when producing the packing strips, to proceed in such a way that the corners at the front in the conveying direction have a different radius than the corners at the rear in the conveying direction. This arrangement is intended to avoid a sharp projection which arises when the circular arcs intersect with different radii. However, it has been shown that a complete elimination of sharp protrusions cannot be achieved with this procedure, there is only a weakening of the sharp protrusions produced with the previously known procedure. In addition, packing strips which have rounded corners with different radii are not popular with the pharmaceutical industry since, apart from the uneven external appearance, they can cause difficulties in further processing, in particular when inserted into cartons.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a device for punching out packing strips which can be further processed without problems and which do not pose any risk of injury.
With the device according to the invention with the characterizing features of the patent claim, there is above all the advantage that no sharp, hook-shaped projections occur on the edges of the packing strips when punching out packing strips without waste. In spite of feed fluctuations in the film strand, the packs have a uniform appearance, they can be inserted into cartons without difficulty and there is no risk of injury.
- 1, 2 and 3 packing strips according to the prior art in plan view,
- 4, 5 and 6 packing strips in plan view, which can be produced with the device according to the invention,
- 7 shows a cross section through the punching tool of the device,
- 8 shows a part of a film strand from above, from which packing strips are punched out, in particular a packing strip which has just been punched out, and
- Fig. 9 on an enlarged scale the section designated X in Fig. 8.
Endverbraucher dar.4, 5 and 6
The
Der Vorschubversatz darf natürlich nicht so groß werden, daß der in Zuführrichtung vordere Kreisbogen 23 den beim vorhergehenden Stanzhub erzeugten hinteren Kreisbogen 30 schneidet, da dann ein Packungsstreifen 12 entsprechend Fig. 2 entstehen würde.7 and 9 also clearly show that in the illustrated embodiment of the
