Herkömmliche Leitungsstecker für Flachbaugruppen, insbesondere der Datentechnik, weisen den Nachteil auf, dass sie aus mehreren Teilen bestehen, die miteinander verklebt werden müssen. Da beim Kleben die beiden Schenkel des Aufnahmeteils an die Federleiste angedrückt werden, ergibt sich bei Verwendung der Federleiste in ihren Gegenstükken ein relativ grosses Spiel. Wird der Leitungsstecker beim Stecken oder Ziehen verkantet, so kommt es vor, dass die Kontaktstifte der Stiftleiste verbogen werden. Zudem weisen derartige Stecker zur Vereinfachung des Spritzwerkzeuges keinerlei Einführschrägen auf.
