Aus der US-A-3 946 476 ist bereits eine gattungsgleiche Vorrichtung bekannt, die zum gleichzeitigen Anklemmen von zwei isolierten dünnen Kabeladern in zwei benachbarte aufrechtstehende Kontaktelemente dient. Jeweils zwei Kabeladern werden von dieser Vorrichtung erfasst, in benachbarte Anschlussklemmen beispielsweise eines Fernmelde-Verteilers eingeschoben und anschliessend an einer Seite der Anschlussklemme abgeschnitten. Die Vorichtung weist einen in einem Handgriff angeordneten Stössel auf, dessen frei vorstehendes Ende von einer gegenüber diesem längsverschiebbaren Hülse umgeben ist. Im frei vorstehenden Endteil der Hülse sind in einer Hülsenwand jeweils zwei Paare von Längsschlitzen vorgesehen. In der gegenüberliegenden Wand des vorstehenden Hülsenendes befindet sich eine Bohrung zur Aufnahme der Kabelader, welche beim Eindrücken der Kabelader in die Anschlussklemme als Schneidkante zum Abtrennen eines Kabelendes wirkt. Eine seitliche Abstützung der elastisch spreizbaren Zungen des Kontaktelementes beim Einschieben der Kabelader in dessen Längsschlitz ist jedoch mit dieser bekannten Vorrichtung nicht möglich, weil das Kontaktelement weder von der Hülse, noch vom Druckstück am Ende des Stössels umfasst wird.From US-A-3 946 476 a generic device is already known, which is used for the simultaneous connection of two insulated thin cable wires in two adjacent upstanding contact elements. Claims (3)

1. A device for electrically conductively terminating an insulated thin cable wire to an upright terminal element (12), which includes tabs formed with cutting edges and adapted to be resiliently spread upon insertion of the cable wire, comprising a plunger (1) longitudinally movable within a housing (5) and bearing at its free forward end a thrust pad (1 a), and comprising a sleeve (2) which surrounds the thrust pad and at the end thereof facing the cable wire is formed with longitudinal slots (3b) adapted to receive the cable wire, characterized in that the sleeve (2) - including the plunger (1) - is fixedly mounted in the housing and includes a free end portion (3) projecting from the housing (5), said free end portion extending in both the opertive condition and the inoperative condition of the device beyond the thrust pad (1 a) integrally formed with the plunger (1), the cross-section of said free end portion being designed so that upon application it closely engages about the terminal element (11) and laterally supports the tabs (13) thereof.

A device as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2, characterized in that, for adaptation to a terminal element (11) of Z-shaped cross-section the two free arms (13) of which each include a wider, short longitudinal slot (13a) and the inclined centre portion of which includes a longer, narrow longitudinal slot (12a), the thrust pad (1 a) is formed with an inclined slot (1c) between two profiled webs (1b) for fixing the terminal element (11) on either side thereof, and that the end portion (3) of the sleeve (2) accordingly is of rectangular cross-section and engages with two opposite inner surfaces thereof the corresponding outer surfaces (13) of the terminal element (11).
