Description

The present invention relates to an independent very high voltage connector with incorporated spark gap intended to provide the link between the high voltage current source and the grid G3 for focusing the cathode ray tube in a television receiver.

It is particularly intended to be associated with a connector with incorporated spark gaps constituting the support of the cathode ray tube and ensuring the medium voltage connections applied to the elements KR, KB, KV, G1, G2, as well as to the filaments of the tube, as of the kind described. in French patent application No 79 07097 (FR-A-2452189) filed in the name of the applicant. It can also be associated with tube support connectors that do not include spark gaps.

  • 3. A cover also provided with hooking means, intended to cover and protect the part of the housing projecting from the side of the tube.

The hooking means are provided with a relative elasticity and intended to engage in the window in which the housing is itself engaged, this elasticity allowing both the hooks to penetrate into this window and, after penetration, ensure the locking required to hold the housing in place, enclosed between the cover and the cover.

The cutout made in the wafer for the passage of the housing can be completed by two recesses for the passage of the hooking means projecting from the sides of the cover and of the cover.

We will now describe with reference to Figure 4 a particularly interesting embodiment of the part ensuring the electrical connection between the very high voltage source and the pin connected to the grid G3 of the cathode ray tube.

In this figure, all the elements identical to those which are represented in FIG. 1 have the same references assigned with the index 2.

The reference 30 designates a cylindrical tubular part integral with the very high voltage connector, therefore made of insulating material. It includes the contact means 31 made of conductive material. This means 31 is itself tubular, favorably in known form called "tulip"; it is designed to receive the pin of the cathode ray tube connected to the grid G3.

Le moyen 31 est relié électriquement à l'extrémité 62 de l'éclateur E ainsi qu'à la source de très haute tension par la connexion 9z.The means 31 is electrically connected to the end 6 2 of the spark gap E as well as to the very high voltage source by the connection 9 z .

In this FIG. 4, there is shown at 32 a cathode-ray tube support connector which is particularly intended to be associated with the very high voltage connector shown in this figure.

This arrangement is particularly advantageous because it makes it possible to arrange the connector assembly according to the most favorable angular relative positions as a function of the location available on the connection plate supporting said connector assembly. It also allows the interchangeability of this connector assembly with other tube supports having a different layout.

It is understood that without departing from the scope of the invention, variants may be made concerning the shape and the dimensions of the constituent elements. In this connection, it will be mentioned that the housing 34 provided in the tube support 32 could be a cylinder with a continuous wall and not open.
