It relates more particularly to centrifugal casting according to the De Lavaud process, in which liquid iron is poured into a rotary shell via a pouring channel supplied by a ladle while causing relative longitudinal movement between this channel and the shell, and the supply of the cast iron channel is interrupted before the spout has reached the outlet end of the shell.
- this problem of simultaneous introduction of the same quantity of cast iron into the two interlocking ends is essentially resolved by providing along each pouring channel several retaining dams provided with regulation orifices casting jets.
- the twin channels are tiltable around horizontal articulations provided upstream, in the vicinity of the ladle, and have a variable inclination, even during casting, and in any case only during the casting of the sockets, that is to say before the relative axial displacement of each channel with respect to each shell, in order to regulate the speed of flow of the cast iron.

- pressurized fluid is sent to the lower chamber of the jack 28, which causes the inclination of the channel 20; in the second case, this fluid is sent to the upper chamber of the jack 28 to bring the channel 20 back to its low position. In each case, the unpowered chamber of the jack is discharged.
- the pilot device 33 is also equipped with a timer 33a capable of cutting off the supply of electric current when a displayed time has elapsed.
- the carriage 9 moves in translation in direction f until the pouring spout 25 of the channel 20 is inside the interlocking end 11 of the shell 4 driven in rotation around axis XX. It is at this moment that the liquid iron is poured into the weir 11 through the pocket 12 and that it begins to flow into the shell.
- the carriage 9 then sets off again in translation in the opposite direction (arrow g) so as to make the spout 25 run the entire length of the shell until it exits through the plain end thereof.
- the inclination of the channel 10 can be varied if necessary by means of the jack 28 to modulate the rate of cast iron poured by the spout 25 at any point of the shell. This is how if we notice on the centrifuged pipes an excess thickness or a thinning well localized and always in the same place, we can remedy it by instantly increasing the inclination of the channel (for a thinning) or by decreasing it instantly ( for an extra thickness) at the moment when the beak 25 reaches the point of the shell where the irregularity to be corrected takes place, then by bringing the channel at its usual inclination, and this keeping constant both the tilting speed of the bag 12 and the translation speed of the carriage 9. This correction does not involve the regulating device of FIG. 8.
- the jack 18 is then actuated again so as to gradually increase the inclination of the assembly 10 in order to deposit a constant quantity of cast iron throughout the shell 4, that is to say - say so that the flow rate at the pouring spout 25 remains constant until the latter leaves the shell.
- the assembly 10 rocks around the two journals 21 of the beam 19.
- the increase in the inclination of the channel 20 compensates for the lack of supply upstream, so that the end with plain end of the rotary shell receives the same turns of liquid iron, under the same thickness, as before the interruption of the supply. It follows that the centrifuged pipe 2 has a plain end of the same thickness and the same inclination of turns as its current part, and that the quality of this pipe is regular until the plain end.
- this increase in the inclination can be controlled automatically by the device of FIG. 8, which intervenes, after the interruption of the supply of the weir 24, as soon as the level of the cast iron drops in the vicinity of the pouring spout 25.
- the channel 20 is almost emptied of its liquid iron.
- the jack is retracted, for example under the control of the chronometer 33a, to lower the assembly 10 and return it to the normal low rest position of the cradle 22 on the support beam 19 for the next casting.
- Figs. 6 and 7 illustrate a variant of the invention in which the pouring chute 23a is in one piece and devoid of support cradle. In this case, the half-eyelets 26 are carried directly by this chute.

Claims (1)
- Gußvorrichtung (8) für eine Schleudergußmaschine zur Durchführung eines Verfahrens zur Herstellung eines rohrförmigen Körpers (2) durch Schleuderguß, bei der die flüssige Schmelze in eine rotierende Kokille (4) über einen von einer Gußpfanne (12) gespeisten Gußkanal (12) gegossen wird bei gleichzeitiger Erzeugung einer gegenseitigen Längsbewegung zwischen diesem Kanal und der Kokille, und bei der die Beschickung des Kanals mit Schmelze unterbrochen wird, bevor die Gußschnauze (25) das Austrittsende der Kokille erreicht hat, wobei diese Vorrichtung von der Bauart ist, die einen ungefähr waagerechten frei überstehenden Träger (19) aufweist, der den Gußkanal (20) von ungefähr gleicher Länge trägt und in der der Kanal (20) angelenkt ist im Hinblick auf eine Veränderung seiner Neigung selbst während des Gießens, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Kanal (20) in Nähe seiner Gußschnauze (25) am Träger (19) angelenkt ist, wobei das stromauf gelegene Ende des Trägers (19) an einem beweglichen Wagen (9) befestigt ist, an dem ein Ende eines Stellzylinders (28) zur Einstellung der Neigung des Kanals angelenkt ist.
