Description

The invention relates to a socket for an incandescent lamp socket made of insulating material, with a sleeve section forming a hollow rivet which serves to hold a contact tongue forming a socket contact, and a further squeezable sleeve section for receiving a connecting wire, the sleeve section forming the hollow rivet with a tight fit in the socket the contact tongue holds.

A frame stone of this type is known from DE-U1-7 811 012. In this arrangement, the respective contact tongue is attached to the socket by means of a hollow rivet. A contact pin which is matched to this diameter is inserted into the rivet bore and has a connecting lug which firmly grips around the strand of the connecting line by means of a crimp connection. A stop on the connection lug prevents the contact pin from penetrating too deeply into the interior of the socket for the purpose of complying with the prescribed air and creepage distances. The assembly of the known frame stone is labor-intensive due to the training described. For this it is necessary to insert the rivet into the socket first. Then the contact pin must be inserted into the rivet. Finally, the terminal lug is squeezed with the strand of the connecting line. Furthermore, since the respective contact tongue is fastened in the socket by means of a rivet wall, there is a further disadvantage in that after a possible rupture of the rivet wall, the two contacts are no longer firmly connected to one another, which results in an impermissible contact resistance.

From US-A-1 955285 a socket is also known, in which both the attachment of the contact tongue and a connecting sleeve arranged on a tab for a connecting wire are carried out via a pin rivet. This arrangement has a plurality of separate components and is therefore relatively expensive to assemble.

From FR-A-1 492998 a socket is finally known in which the contact tongue and the connecting sleeve for a connecting wire consist of a correspondingly bent stamped part. The section of the stamped part forming the contact tongue is simply inserted into a corresponding recess in the socket. This results in an inexact fit of the stamped part in the socket with the disadvantage of possibly insufficient contact with an incandescent lamp inserted into the socket.

The invention has for its object to form a socket of the type mentioned in such a way that its manufacture is cheaper and the time required for connecting the strands or wires can be shortened and furthermore the supply and holding arrangements of the contact can be produced from only two components in sheet metal processing are.

According to a first alternative of the invention, this object is achieved in that the two sleeve sections are designed in the form of a drawn sleeve and in that the sleeve section forming the hollow rivet has two axially spaced beads, one of which is in contact with the frame, while the other serves as a stop for the contact tongue.

According to a second alternative of the invention, the stated object is achieved in that the pinchable sleeve section and the contact tongue are made in one piece from a stamped profile which has an elongated contact tongue area, at the end of which there is an opening for receiving the hollow rivet holding the stamped profile in the socket and on which is followed at right angles by a further elongated area with zigzag-shaped or wavy side edges, which forms the squeezable sleeve section.

Compared to the arrangement according to DE-U1-7 811 012, the manufacture of the lampholder according to the invention is made cheaper in that the contact pin previously required is eliminated. Furthermore, the assembly time is shortened in the socket according to the invention, because with the elimination of the contact pin, the process of inserting this contact pin into the hollow rivet is also eliminated. Due to the shoulders provided in the first alternative according to the invention on the sleeve section forming the hollow rivet, this sleeve section is well supported in the socket and the corresponding contact tongue is precisely connected to this sleeve section. This ensures that even if the rivet wall breaks, the current can flow properly without any significant contact resistance.

In contrast to the socket according to US-A-1 955 285 in the former alternative of the invention, the supply and holding arrangement between the connecting wire on the one hand and the contact tongue on the other hand consists of only one component and in the second alternative of the invention the contact tongue and the squeezable sleeve section are integrally formed, the invention results in a simple structure and quick assembly of the proposed socket.

With regard to the construction according to FR-A-1 492 998, the solution according to the invention is characterized by an exact and positionally secure arrangement of the current-carrying components of the socket, with the result that it is more economical output resistances.

In the second alternative of the invention, the contact tongue area and the area of the stamped profile forming the squeezable sleeve section are arranged at right angles in order to ensure that the opening required for the stamped profile can be arranged eccentrically in relation to the bore required for the respective hollow rivet. As a result, a greater distance is obtained between the individual openings required in the frame stone, and a weakening of the frame stone which is too extensive is thus avoided. This is necessary because when the lamp is screwed into the socket in the center of the socket, pressure is exerted on the socket which, if the center of the socket is weakened too much, could possibly cause the socket to break.

The principle of a frame stone according to the invention can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2. Thereafter, the socket itself designated 1 carries two sleeves 5. Each of these sleeves 5 serves to receive the stripped end 8 of a connecting wire 7 and to electrically connect this connecting wire 7 to an associated contact tongue 2 or 3, which is in contact with the base 9 Incandescent lamp can be brought.

Thereafter, each of the described sleeves 5 consists of two sleeve sections 5a and 5b, which are integrally formed in the form of a drawn collar sleeve. The sleeve section 5a serves to receive the stripped end 8 of a connecting wire 7. For this purpose, the sleeve section 5a is designed to be squeezable, so that after inserting the stripped end 8 of the connecting wire 7 by squeezing the sleeve section 5a between the latter and the connecting wire 7, it is both a good mechanical and electrical connection is established. To facilitate the production of the crimp connection, the sleeves are each arranged between two ribs of the socket 1 made of insulating material, so that there is sufficient space in the longitudinal direction of the ribs for gripping crimping pliers.

The sleeve section 5b has two axially spaced beads 12 and 13. While the bead 12 can be prefabricated and lies in the mounting position directly on the socket 1, the bead 13 has a smaller diameter than the bead 12 and is in a corresponding recess insertable in the socket. After sliding on the contact tongue 2 or 3, the free end of the sleeve portion 5b by an appropriate operation, z. B. upsetting, flanged. In this way, the bead 13 forms, together with the flanged edge, a stop for the contact tongue 2 or 3, and it is achieved that even with a possible shrinkage of the material of the socket 1, a good electrical connection between the contacts and the sleeve 5 is always ensured remains.

Die zweite Alternative der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung ergibt sich aus den Fig. 5 bis 8.The second alternative of the arrangement according to the invention results from FIGS. 5 to 8.

Der den verquetschbaren Hülsenabschnitt bildende längliche Bereich 5" des Stanzprofils besitzt hingegen zick-zack-förmige oder wellenförmige Seitenkanten 15.5 shows a stamped profile which consists of two regions, namely an elongated contact tongue region 3 "and a further elongated region 5" adjoining it at an angle of 90 °, which forms the squeezable sleeve section. The elongated Kontaktzun g en area 3 "has at its end associated with the further elongated area 5" an opening 16 for a hollow rivet still to be described. The elongated region 5 ″ of the stamped profile that forms the squeezable sleeve section, on the other hand, has zigzag-shaped or wavy side edges 15.

As can best be seen from FIGS. 6 and 8, the region 5 "of the stamped profile is bent in a cylindrical shape and, after the stripped end of the connecting wire has been inserted, is crimped with it. In this way, the described region 5" of the stamped profile provides the crimpable sleeve section 5a " It is expedient for the squeezing if the tongues of the zigzag-shaped or wavy side edges 15 of the region 5 "are offset with one another.

As best shown in FIG. 8, a hollow rivet 14 is used to fasten the punched profile which represents the contact tongue 3 "and the squeezable sleeve section 5a" in the setting stone 1 and which in this position penetrates the opening 16 (FIG. 5) of the punched profile.
