Abstract

Настоящее изобретение обеспечивает способ получения низших хлоридов титана, включающий этап, на котором восстанавливают тетрахлорид титана (TiCl) с применением восстанавливающего средства в по меньшей мере одной расплавленной соли щелочного металла при температуре от приблизительно 300 до приблизительно 1400°С с получением восстановленной массы, содержащей низшие хлориды титана. Настоящее изобретение также обеспечивает получение металлического титана из низших хлоридов титана.
