Изобретение относится к химии целлюлозы и ее производных, а именно к способу получения активированной целлюлозы, и может быть использован в качестве сырья для сополимеризации целлюлозы с другими мономерами. Активацию целлюлозы осуществляют следующим образом: измельченную целлюлозу 1×1 см пропитывают водным раствором персульфата калия, а потом осуществляют сушку целлюлозы при температуре 100-105°С в течение 60-90 мин. При этом максимально повышается хрупкость макромолекулярной структуры целлюлозы, и при помоле в течение 8-14 мин разрушаются макромолекулярные и волокнистые структуры, и это приводит к получению сыпучего порошка целлюлозы с увеличением реакционной способности, содержания фракции целлюлозы с размерами частицы 200 мкм и ниже составляет до 94,2 вес.%. Активированный порошок целлюлозы можно использовать при процессе сополимеризации с ненасыщенными мономерами, а так же в качестве загустителя и сырья для лакокрасочной, текстильной и вискозной промышленности.
