Abstract

A fire-resisting wall element (1) reducing heat transition and with at least two insulating layers (2, 2a) made from bound mineral wool contains a layer (3) arranged between the insulating layers (2, 2a) which is produced from a mixture of a dehydrating hydroxide and an inorganic binder such as water glass or silica sol. The layer (3) increases the fire resistance of the wall element (1) which is therefore particularly suited as an insert for a fire-check door. <IMAGE>
