Claims (14)

1. Isoleret polynukleotid, der koder for et WUSCHEL-relateret homeobox4-polypeptid afledt af planten C. olitorius eller C. capsularis, der omfatter et nukleinsyremolekyle udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af: a) et nukleinsyremolekyle, der omfatter en nukleotidsekvens ifølge SEQ ID NO: 2 eller SEQ ID NO: 5, eller et komplement deraf; og b) et nukleinsyremolekyle, der omfatter en nukleotidsekvens med mindst 95 % sekvensidentitet med nukleotidet ifølge SEQ ID NO: 2 eller SEQ ID NO: 5, eller et komplement deraf.
2. Kodende isoleret polynukleotid ifølge krav 1, hvor planten af C. olitorius er varietet O- 4.
3. Isoleret polynukleotid ifølge krav 1, hvor planten af C. capsularis er varietet CVL- 1.
4. Isoleret WUSCHEL-relateret homeobox4-polypeptid, der omfatter en aminosyresekvens udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af: (a) en aminosyresekvens ifølge SEQ ID: NO: 3 eller SEQ ID NO: 6 eller et biologisk aktivt fragment deraf; (b) en aminosyresekvens, der omfatter en aminosyresekvens med mindst 95 % sekvensidentitet med aminosyresekvensen ifølge SEQ ID NO: 3 eller 6; polypeptidet omfatter en funktion udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af katalysering af initieringen, dannelsen, forbedringen og variationen for derved at ændre sammensætningen af floemfiber i planten af C. olitorius eller C. capularis.
5. Isoleret polynukleotid ifølge krav 4, hvor planten af C. olitorius er varietet 0-4.
6. Isoleret polynukleotid ifølge krav 4, hvor planten af C. capsularis er varietet CVL-1.
7. Rekombinant genkonstrukt, der omfatter det isolerede polynukleotid ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav 1 til 3, hvor polynukleotidet kan udtrykkes i en værtscelle for at frembringe en homolog af et WUSCHEL-relateret homeobox4-polypeptid fra planterne af C. olitorius og C. capsularis.
8. Rekombinant genkonstrukt ifølge krav 7, der endvidere omfatter et promoterområde, der er operativt bundet til et nukleinsyremolekyle ifølge a) eller b), hvor promoteren forbedrer transskription eller ekspression af nukleinsyremolekylet.
9. Transformant, der omfatter et rekombinant genkonstrukt ifølge krav 7, der er i stand til at udtrykke et polynukleotid, hvor transformanten frembringer en homolog af WUSCHEL-relateret homeobox4-polypeptid.
10. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af en plante eller transgen plante med øget eller forbedret fiberudbytte i forhold til kontrolplanter, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter: a) indføring i en planteceller af et rekombinant genkonstrukt, der omfatter et polynukleotid ifølge krav 7; og b) dyrkning af plantecellen under forhold, der fremmer plantevækst og -udvikling og c) ekspression af et polypeptid udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af: i) et polypeptid, der omfatter en aminosyresekvens ifølge SEQ ID: NO: 3 eller SEQ ID NO: 6, eller et biologisk aktivt fragment deraf; og ii) et polypeptid med mindst 95 % sekvensidentitet med aminosyresekvensen ifølge SEQ ID NO: 3 eller SEQ ID NO: 6.
11. Isoleret polynukleotid ifølge krav 1, hvor polynukleotidet har: mindst 98 % sekvensidentitet med nukleotidsekvensen ifølge SEQ ID NO 2 eller SEQ ID NO: 5.
12. Isoleret polynukleotid ifølge krav 4, hvor polypeptidet har: mindst 98 % sekvensidentitet med aminosyresekvensen ifølge SEQ ID: NO: 3 eller SEQ ID NO: 6.
13. Frø fra en transformant ifølge krav 9, hvor frøet omfatter det isolerede polynukleotid ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1-3 og 11.
14. Fremgangsmåde til induktion, initiering, forbedring eller styrkelse af plantevækst, plantehøjde, udbytte af plantefiber- og frø for en juteplante, der omfatter inkorporering i en juteplante af det rekombinante genkonstrukt ifølge krav 8.
