Abstract

The system has a monitoring module (44) detecting crossing of a geographical boundary between countries by a vehicle. A signal selecting module (46) selects a telecommunication signal that is amplified and broadcasted by a repeater (34). The module (46) selects the signal as long as the module (44) does not detect crossing of the boundary, and another telecommunication signal when the module (44) detects that the boundary is crossed. An independent claim is also included for a telecommunication method for assuring operation of a mobile telephone onboard a vehicle while crossing a geographical boundary.
