Opfindelsen angår en lukkeflange af den art, der er støbt i formstof og indrettet til under påvirkning af et elektromagnetisk felt at sammenføjes med en vægdel omkring en åbning i en formstofbeholder, hvilken lukkeflange omfatter en opadragende cylindrisk hals med en sideværts udragende krave, der omgiver halsen ved dennes nederste ende og er indrettet til at optage et elektromagnetisk påvirkeligt sammenføjningsorgan.

Ved fastsvejsning af en lukkeflange af denne art til en beholdervæg kan det være vanskeligt at anbringe det forholdsvis tynde sammenføjningsorgan korrekt og fastholde det under svejseoperationen og sikre, at det indgår i en holdbar integrerende forbindelse med de omgivende dele af flangen og beholdervæggen.
Det er formålet med opfindelsen at overvinde disse ulemper, og dette er opnået ved lukkeflangen ifølge opfindelsen, som er ejendommelig ved, at kraven koaksialt med halsen har en cirkulær ringnot med i hovedsagen rektangulært tværsnit og åben i aksial retning til optagelse af sammenføjningsorganet, og at et par koncentriske ringformede ribber ligger på hver sin side af og tæt op til ringnoten og strækker sig ind mod hinanden til delvis lukning af notens åbning.
Herved opnås ikke blot at sammenføjningsorganet fastholdes til flangen under transport og i korrekt stilling under sammensvejsning ved induktionssvejsning, men også at det under opvarmningen ved svejseprocessen smeltende sammenføjningsorgan udfylder ringnoten uden at flyde ud forbi ribberne, der hen mod svejsningens afslutning også smelter og medvirker til opnåelse af en god forbindelse mellem flange og beholdervæg.
Ved at udforme lukkeflangen som anført i krav 2 opnås, at læben danner en dæmning, som vinder fastsvejsningen af lukkeflangen smelter langsomt og derved hindrer eventuelt overskydende smeltet materiale i at løbe ud over flangens yderrand.
Opfindelsen skal i det følgende forklares nærmere under henvisning til tegningen, idet fig. 1 viser en lukkeflange ifølge opfindelsen, set fra siden og delvis i snit, fig. 2 er et forstørret delsnit, som viser sammenføjningsorganet i begyndelsesstillingen under anbringelsen på flangens bund eller krave, fig. 3 er et til fig. 2 svarende delsnit, men viser sammenføjningsorganet fuldt indlejret i flangens bund eller krave, fig. 4 set ovenfra og noget forstørret viser en del af flangens bund eller krave med det heri anbragte sammenføjningsorgan, 3 148095 fig. 5 er et delsnit, der viser flangen i en stilling, hvor den skal sammenføjes med væggen omkring en åbning i en beholder, fig. 6 er et til fig. 5 svarende snit, men viser den færdige sammenføjning og en lukkeprop anbragt på plads, fig f· er et lodret snit gennem en mekanisme til at anbringe sammenføjningsorganet på en lukkeflange . ifølge opfindelsen/ fig. 8 er et snit efter linien 8-8 i fig. J3 set i retning af pilene, fig. 9 er et delsnit svarende til fig. 8 i større målestok, og viser strengen af sammenføjningsmateriale i en stilling, hvor den er ført langt ind i mekanismen, og fig. 10 er et til fig. 9 svarende snit, der viser strengen i en yderligere fremført stilling, hvori den er afskåret og formet til en hel ring.
Som vist i fig. 1-6, er lukkeflangen 1 støbt i en termoplastisk formstof som f.eks. polyethylen, og den består af en opadrettet cylindrisk hals 2 med et indvendigt gevind 3. Flangehalsens øvre ende har en kort gevindfri del 4 og ender i en omkredsfortykkelse i form af en vulst 5. Flangehalsen 2's yderside omfatter en kort del 6 med mindre diameter neden for vulsten 5, og er igen fortykket til dannelse af en forneden beliggende styredel 7. Nederst på flangehalsen omgives denne af en ringformet krav 8 med en overside 9. En opad åben ringnot 10 er udformet i oversiden 9 i radial afstand fra flangehalsens fortykkede styredel 7. Ringnoten 10's munding er delvis lukket af et par ringformede kantribber 11, én på hver side af noten, som strækker sig op over flangens overside 9. En ringformet læbe 12, som ligeledes strækker sig op over oversiden 9» er udformet på kraven 8's yderkant.
Det afsluttende trin under fremstillingen af flangen omfatter,at et elektromagnetisk påvirkeligt sammenføjningsorgan 13 anbringes på flangens krave med henblik på at udgøre en termoplastisk sammenføjning med en åbning i en beholdervæg. Det med denne flange anvendte sammenføjningsorgan er fremstillet ud fra en langstrakt streng af termoplastisk materiale, som har cirkelrundt tværsnit og hvori der er indlejret små elektromagnetisk ledende partikler. Strengen er formet til en ring med overliggende endeflader 13a og 13b, som danner 4 148095 en smigsamling og forhindrer tilstedeværelsen af radiale spalter i sammenføjningszonen. Som det fremgår tydeligt af fig. 2 og 3, er sammenføjningsorganet 13's tværsnitsdiameter i hovedsagen lig med ringnoten 10's bredde og en smule større end den korteste afstand mellem kantribberne 11. En nedadrettet kraft, som udøves på forbindelsesorganet 13, bringer de bøjelige kantribber 11 til at åbne sig, så at sammenføjningsorganet 13 kan indføres i ringnoten 10. Efter at sammenføjningsorganet er helt indført i ringnoten, bøjer kantribberne sig tilbage og tjener herefter til at holde sammenføjningsorganet sikkert på plads i ringnoten. Kantribberne 11's mekaniske fastholden af sammenføjningsorganet 13 forhindrer dette i at blive løsnet utilsigtet under indpakning, transport og anden håndtering af den færdige flange.
Sammenføjningen af lukkeflangen 1 med en vægdel i en formstof beholder, som f.eks. oversiden 14 i en dunk, foretages ved at føre flangens hals 2 opad gennem åbningen 15 i beholdervæggen, som lige passer med den fortykkede styredel 7. Fig. 5 viser hvorledes undersiden af beholdervæggen inden sammenføjningen hviler oven på sammenføjningsorganet 13 lige oven over kantribberne 11 og læben 12. Induktionssvejsning af flangen til den omgivende beholdervægdel begynder under udøvelse af en lodret kraft imod samlingen, idet denne indføres i magnetfeltet fra en højfrekvens-induktionsopvarmningsgene-. rator. Når sammenføjningsorganet 13's termoplastiske formstof begynder at smelte sammen med væggene i ringnoten 10, smelter også kantribberne 11 og læben 12 f så at kraven 8's overside 9 og undersiden af beholdervægdelen 14 føres sammen. Da læben 12 ligger længere borte fra sammenføjningsorganet 13, er den tilbøjelig til at smelte langsommere, så at den danner en dæmning,der forhindrer sammenføjningsmaterialet i at flyde ud. Som vist i fig. 6 er der frembragt en permanent og ensartet sammenføjning ved flangens og beholdervægdelens tilstødende overflader. Det bør bemærkes, at ringnoten med kantribberne og læben også kunne være udformet på flangekravens underside, for derved at gøre det muligt at sammenføje flangen med den udvendige overflade på en beholdervægdel, således som det ville være nødvendigt på blæseformede beholdere.
Den med beholdervæggen sammenføjede flange kan derefter udstyres med en lukkeprop 16 med en gevindskåret sidevæg 17j som ender i et ved omkredsen forstørret hoved l8,som er indrettet til tætnende indgreb 5 148095 med vulsten 5. Yderligere beskyttelse imod lækage og tyveri kan opnås ved at påkrympe en forseglingshætte omkring lukkeflangens vulst 5. -
Vedrørende den foran beskrevne fremgangsmåde til at indlægge sammenføjningsorganet i flangen, henledes opmærksomheden på fig.
7j som viser et indføringshoved 20,· der bæres af en lodret bevægelig stang 21. Indføringshovedet 20 består af en omvendt bægerformet kappe 22 med en tvær væg 23 og et nedhængende cylindrisk svøb 24, som ender i en forneden beliggende styrelæbe 25. En kanal 24a, som ses tydeligst i fig. 8, strækker sig på skrå gennem svøbet 24, så at den står i forbindelse med kappens indre. Tværvæggen 23 er udformet med en stor midteråbning 26, der er omgivet af tre mindre huller 27. Inden i kappen 22 er der lejret et klippe- og trykkestempel 28, der omfatter et bærestykke 29 omgivet af et nedhængende cylindrisk svøb 30, som ved sin nederste ende afsluttes af en klippekant 31. Stangen 21 kan glide gennem midteråbningen 26 i kappens tværvæg 23, og den er fastgjort til klippe- og trykkestemplets tørestykke 29 ved hjælp af en møtrik 32. Et cylindrisk styrestempel 33 er glidende lejret inden i klippe- og trykkestemplet 28, og i dets udvendige overflade er der udformet en udad åben rille 34. Tre skruer 35 strækker sig gennem hullerne 27 i kappens tværvæg 23 og er fastgjort til styre-stemplet 33. Hver af skruerne 35 er omgivet af en skruetrykfjeder 36, som søger at føre klippe- og trykkestemplet 28 og styrestemplet 33 bort fra hinanden på eftergivende måde.
Under anvendelsen anbringes en lukkeflange 1 på et styrevederlag 37, som er anbragt neden under indføringshovedet 20. En langstrakt streng af elektromagnetisk påvirkeligt sammenføjningsmateriale 13 føres ind gennem kanalen 24a i kappens svøb 24, og - som det vil kunne ses i fig. 8 - styres af rillen 3^ omkring styrestemplet 33 til at antage ringform. Derpå sænkes indføringshovedet 20 ned over flangen, så at styrelæben 25 kommer til at hvile på flangekraven 8's overside 9j og styrestemplet 33 oven på flangens vulst 5. Fortsat nedadgående bevægelse af stangen 21 overvinder trykfjedrene 26's forspænding og fører klippe- og trykkestemplet 28 nedad i forhold til kappen 22 og styrestemplet 33. Herunder kommer klippekanten 31 til at blive bevæget forbi kanalen 24a, og overklipper herved strengen 13 langs med kappen 22's inderside.

Under klippe- og trykkestempiet 28fs fortsatte nedadgående bevægelse skubber det sammenføjningsorganet 13 foran sig og tvinger det ned mellem de ringformede opadragende kantribber 11 på flangens krave 8. Den afsluttende nedadgående bevægelse af klippe- og trykkestemplet 28 bevirker, at sammenføjningsorganet 13 lejres fast i flangens ringnot 10, hvorefter indføringshovedet 20 trækkes tilbage opad og dets bestanddele føres tilbage til deres udgangsstillinger. Det bør bemærkes, at når sammenføjningsorganet 13 trykkes nedad af klippe- og trykkestemplet 28, bringes den forreste snitflade 13a og den bageste snitflade 13b til at flugte i et fælles aksialt forløbende plan, således som det kan ses i fig. 10. Som følge heraf formes strengen af elektromagnetisk påvirkeligt materiale til en hel og uafbrudt ring, hvori de skråtliggende snitflader 13a og 13b forhindrer, at der på grund af små variationer i strengens længde fremkommer en ufordelagtig radial spalte.
