Abstract

A connecting strip for covering gaps between adjacent edges of floor coverings, or for fitting around the edges of a room, has a profiled support strip (20) secured to the floor via a flat section (8). An adjoining raised section (12) serves as a grip for the self tapping screws (7) which secure the cover strip (3). The raised profile is topped by a guide for the self tapping screws. The cover strip can be applied at an angle, to bridge different thickness of floor covering, with the raised profile strip bending to enable the screws to be set at an angle.
